Kecks Creek Crossing Reviews
The owners, Ron & Cassandra were so kind, delightful and accommodating! We really enjoyed their peaceful little place! We snuggled our camper in right next the the babbling creek and it was just so peaceful. We loved that they were pet friendly and enjoyed meeting the park dog, Zoey.Just a short drive into the quaint little town of Huntsville and only an hour away from Eureka Springs. There so much to see and do in the area or you can just relax by the creek. We definitely hope to return soon!
Nov 18, 2024 · Deana Plummer-KlarichKecks Creek Campground was perfect! The owners were the nicest people, giving us tips on things to do and directions to see a hidden waterfall, the elk, and a cool local market. The campground was well maintained and we slept each night listening to the running water of the creek, which ran directly behind our spot. I would recommend this campground to anyone who wants to experience the serenity of the Ozark mountains. In the words of the Terminator, ”We will be back!”
May 17, 2025 · Rena LinzayMy partner and I recently stayed at this campground for a week long getaway, and it was the perfect spot to unwind and reconnect with nature. The full hookups made our RV camping experience hassle-free, while the lush surroundings and proximity to hiking trails kept us busy exploring. One of the highlights was the personal touch the owners provided. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the area, including the local plant life, which added an extra layer of appreciation for our hikes. They even provided free firewood, which made our campfires in the evenings even more enjoyable. Speaking of campfires, the campground offers a quiet, peaceful atmosphere—ideal if you’re looking to relax by the fire rather than be surrounded by loud, party vibes. We loved the natural spots for hammocks, and the grounds were exceptionally well kept. There was a creek running nearby, adding a calming background sound to our campsite. The wildlife was abundant; we spotted two woodpeckers and even had deer wander through the area on multiple occasions. For those interested in stargazing or staying connected, the clear skies provided great access for Starlink, and they also offer free Wi-Fi.Zoe, the camp dog, was a delightful addition—she made the place feel like home! The campground is also very pet-friendly, which was important to us. The owners even treated the area for bugs, so we didn’t have to worry about mosquitoes or other pests while sitting around the fire pit or enjoying a meal at the picnic tables. In terms of convenience, it's a short drive to town for supplies, and Granny’s Café nearby is a must-visit for a hearty meal. The campground itself is a haven for relaxation—perfect for couples who want to unwind in a quiet, natural setting. If you’re into wildlife, hammocking, or just relaxing by the fire, this is the spot for you. Highly recommend it for a tranquil camping experience!
Oct 04, 2024 · Chad SteinhauserRon was an awesome host! Very quiet and scenic campsite. He was very helpful and was a joy to have met. Absolutely plan on coming back next time we are in town and staying there again. The creek was awesome and very relaxing. Only about 15 min from grocery stores. Couldn’t have asked for a better place. Thank you Ron for all of your hospitality.
Mar 18, 2025 · Justin WildWe spent this weekend at Kecks with our kids in two rv sites. We fell in love with this spot. Sites have full hooks ups and great WiFi. We stayed in a site that was just up from the river. camp is clean and very quiet. Ron and Cassandra were great host. When I got there, I had just de-winterized my motor home and ended up with a water leak. Ron came over and helped me diagnose and he had everything we needed to get it back together and get water going. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Even stopped in once and said they were going to town and asked if we needed anything.Small out in the country park with everything we needed to make it a great weekend! We will be coming back very soon. We may even make it our, close to home, weekend away camping spot! Thanks Ron!
