Jellystone Park™ Mammoth Cave Reviews
We have two kids 8 and 5. We enjoyed camping here because they have several activities for little kids (almost every hour) The grounds were pretty clean, people seemed to follow the rules as to not be disruptive. However, there are a few things I feel like could have been better. The mini golf is free and my kids enjoyed getting to play whenever they wanted, but it needs maintenance/general upkeep. The campground seems to be essentially ran by teenagers which I appreciated seeing, but they could use some enthusiasm when working the activities for the little kids. Cornhole bags need to be replaced as many were missing. And lastly one of the fishing ponds were overgrown with weeds, we couldn’t even get to the water. The other pond only had small fish the size of a goldfish but I can understand there’s not much to be done about that. It’s just a heads up. It was good for a very small hook and for the kids to experience reeling in a fish or two.All-in-all we enjoyed our stay, we will be back regardless of the small upkeep issues and I would recommend camping here.*rent the golf cart. It’s A LOT of hills and biking for us was just not an option.Edited to add-although I mentioned a few things to improve here were my favorite things. -wibit -candy bingo -race carts -corn hole -two pools -clean bath houses -kids karaoke -bounce pillow -popsicles by the pool -easy check in and check out
Jul 06, 2025 · Chelsea BickfordAbsolutely Amazing! Jellystone Cave City was our first family camping experience. Our children are ages 12 & 5 and both of them equally enjoyed all of the activities, crafts, meet & greets with Yogi, Boo Boo & Cindy, dance parties, bingo, & literally all the things! Staff is awesome & truly went the extra mile with our children. They were excited & all in which made our experience top tier. Everyone was so kind. Our kiddos went back to our camper to sleep and then they were ready to go again. The app is great and kept us updated on all the activities so we never missed out. Be sure to stop by the general store for the best Jellystone souvenirs before you head out! We will be back in Oct!
Jun 28, 2025 · Ashley AllenThis is a VERY crowded campground! The sites are practically on top of each other and extremely hard the pull into with a camper. The restrooms by our site had no air conditioning and it was 95 degrees outside. This made showering very unpleasant! They advertise an inflatable water course in their pond everywhere but they forget to mention it's an extra charge. The playground and splash pad were great size and the kids loved both! Unfortunately, the pool and pond were the temperature of bath water and EVERYONE rents a golf cart to get around the property. Many children were driving around in the carts being unsafe. One almost hit my baby and me while I was walking from the playground. For the amount of money we spent, I was unfortunately unimpressed. This is definitely not a campground for our family.
Jul 01, 2025 · Erica O'NealTL:DR: Extreme Pet Rules. No refund. Park is a dump.I booked this RV site a couple weeks prior to our stay. On the Thursday before our Monday reservation, I received an email stating I needed to fill out a pet agreement and provide shot records. I didn’t see the email until we were already on the road Saturday morning - driving from Texas to Michigan, with Kentucky being one our many stops. In preparing 4 kids and a dog in camper I did not have time to read all the fine print when I made the original booking. We were able to find an email receipt shot record making her current through June 2023 (booking June 2025) but couldn’t pull up our more current proof. We tried calling the office to explain and they were unbending stating we should’ve read their entire policy if couldn’t comply. Understanding rules are rules, I asked for my money back seeing as we called 48hrs out. They refused said we needed to cancel 2 weeks out for a full refund and instead refunded 1/3 our money. I will NEVER use jellystone ever. We stayed somewhere cheaper, nicer and family/pet friendly very easily. We passed Jellystone on the way into mammoth cave and it looked like a dump and I’m glad we didn’t get sucker into paying extra for the sad excuse of they call a water park.
Jul 03, 2025 · Maggie LyonsWe had fun. We had cabin 39 which was in a great location to amenities. However the seating is a 2 person couch and 3 bar stools. We bought camp chairs for better comfort. The loft mattresses are very thin and hard. Pools were great, we had fun fishing, the location is great. The wifi is non existent, seriously don't bother. The pedal cars are in rough shape, the Mini golf is in disrepair. You have to buy the gemstones bags at the rangers station, there is no attendants at the sluicing station. We rented a golf cart which was very helpful but that poor 131 rode rough and was loud like a lawn mower. The grounds are lovely. The food at the grill was really good however limited in choices. We enjoyed ourselves but realistically the resort needs several upgrades just due to wear and tear.
