Indian Springs Campground Reviews
Ron the man who helped me was awesome! Stayed here in the cabins this past weekend for my friends wedding (to be closer to venue) obviously the heavy rain wasn't ideal but we were just going to be sleeping there. So they served there purpose. But.....I had to get there an hour early before my friends arrived because those cabins( I rented 2) were filthy I had to clean them, dead bugs everywhere, rat poop, the toilet was gross with pee stains on them. I shouldn't have had to clean that but I did.Beds were hard as rocks, if you stay there bring extra padding or you won't be sleeping.
May 06, 2024 · Hillary HalvorsonI love going to Indian Springs camp grounds in Kountze. I love being out in the woods just looking and walking around at all of Gods creations, and I love my kids putting down their phones and enjoying the out doors. Mr. Ronnie (the owner) is always so sweet and helpful. He is a marine and he takes the money that you pay to stay there with, and he uses it to put on a hunt for worriers that are disabled and their families on one weekend and then on another weekend he has disabled kids out there. One of my favorite things to do is to look at the stars at night, they always seem so much brighter out there. It is not real fancy place, but the land is beautiful and taken care of, the bath house is clean. If you are looking for a place to go to get out of the rat race for a few days you need to check this place out. Love the new pier they built over the lake. It is wheelchair accessible and has areas of low railing for someone in a wheelchair. Mr. Ronnie has a true passion for the disabled Vets and kids who also are handicapped. A place they can come out and connect with nature with their friends and families.
Mar 25, 2024 · Kim HernandezRon was very hospitable, had a great stay, was very affordable with comfortable waldenesque cabins that overlook the campground's lake and the woods of the big thicket. Used as a camp for day hikes through the Preserve. A/C was a relief after twelve miles in the 100° heat of July.
Jan 29, 2024 · Kevin L.T.This is my second time coming here and I love it. If you’re looking for quaint and quiet place to camp with no frills this is it. The owner is super sweet and very accommodating he even let us use some oars for our kayak! There is a little alligator in the pond on the property so just keep your kids and pets away from it. Also keep your dog on a leash cause there’s lot of wild mushrooms around the campgrounds, my dog got really sick after ingesting something and it cost a pretty penny at the vet that’s 25 miles away. Other than that, I’ll be coming back for sure!
Aug 03, 2020 · Krystal GThe owners of this place and accommodating and amazing- people that care about ensuring you have a great experience. The bath house is clean and new. The full hookup spaces are well shaded but close together. The water/elec spaces are much bigger and most have great shade. They have trails everywhere! A lake with small piers/docks for fishing, and canoes. We can’t wait to go back!!!
