Huntington Beach RV Campground Reviews
Perfect location and just as advertised on their website. Water and Electric Only - No sewer. The dump station is located at the end of the park and was easy to get to. I was located in the back in spots against the boardwalk. Lots of activity and noise, so make sure you like to be part of the action or choose another spot. You can't beat the views and environment. Took bikes to all Huntington Beach and it was amazing!
May 20, 2025 · Katie MilesThe location, right at the beach just across from a bike/walking path could not be any better. The spaces are roomy, wider than most. You are basically in a parking lot, one with water and power. No dump at your site is why I did not offer up 5 stars. Over the weekend, it was busy here, but during the week, not so much. All day long you’ll see people running, walking or riding along the path. Many dogs being walked. Close, very close by are grassy areas where you can take your dog. They do not supply dog pick up bags so bring your own. Plenty of garbage cans located throughout the park. There is a public bathroom near the park, one with toilets only, but we did not use them. Easy walk across the PCH to the downtown area to do a bit of “tourist” type shopping and plenty of places to find a bite to eat. We sleep with a small fan running at night (white noise) which made it easy to get a good nights rest. We are here currently, early February. I definitely recommend this rv park.
Feb 07, 2025 · Debra LindBEACHSIDE! GREAT LOCATION, NOISY & SMALL LOTSFirst impression: KUDOS to the City for developing this public space. It's clean and access to beach and boardwalks and pier is incredible. ❤️❤️Big rig friendly?... KINDOFLocation: Great location because it is RIGHT ON THE BEACH. However, it's barely big rig friendly. Spaces actually are wide, but not long enough, & no sewer hookups. Driving in and out is also problematic because of narrow roads, tight corners and a semi-gnarly tight entrance and tire slicing knives you don't want to mess with.Employees & checkin: Very helpful and friendly. Checkin was quick. If traveling as a group of big rigs, the entrance can only hold 3-4 before others have to hold up traffic on the busy 101 highway.Noise: Highway 101 is ADJACENT. The only thing between your space and the very busy and noisy highway is a sidewalk. Night time bars across the street are also fairly noisy. A lot of racing traffic at night.Security: One of our group members had their e-bikes almost stolen after going to bed. The cable locking the bikes to the rack was cut, but the mechanism for holding the bikes onto the rack was too tight to get them off. But seriously... it's a target area for BS thieves.Final note: Not the greatest for big rigs, lots are a bit short and no sewer hookups. HOWEVER, it's clean, has nice people working, and LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! =)
Feb 08, 2025 · TB El ConsideradoGood spot to have your bikes stolen. Easy access for thieves. Locks & chains not much of a deterrent for them. Also have homeless people digging through the garbage cans at 3 a.m. every morning (probably as they're scoping out the campsites). Then during the day all week, it's just construction noise from setting up for a music concert the following wkend. The plus? When you report stolen property, they are sympathetic & let you know it happens. Homeless people coming around at 3 a.m., ya bc that's when the camp security leaves & HB police aren't quite on patrol yet. We camp a lot & this is first place we've been too where you have to lock everything down tight just to walk over to the beach just on the other side of the railing. Don't expect to feel rested between the construction, traffic noise, & dance club that's popping until 3 a.m. then the homeless guy comes to root root around your site & trash cans. Also, dogs allowed but not on any of the beaches within walking distance. No return trip for us.
May 10, 2025 · Liv LovdOur new favorite site. You must be sure to lock up bikes, because the campsite is open you can have non campers walk around. We have not had any bad experiences, but we also lock up our bikes. Plenty of outdoor activities, shopping and dining.
