Our aim with this article is to provide you, our North Carolina community, with a comprehensive overview of what makes Hominy Valley RV Park a top destination for your RV adventures.
One of the most appealing aspects of Hominy Valley RV Park, frequently highlighted by contented campers, is its serene and quiet environment. Despite its proximity to popular destinations, the park maintains a peaceful atmosphere, allowing guests to relax amidst nature. Imagine parking your RV by a calming creek in the lower section, surrounded by open land and the sounds of nature – it’s a truly idyllic setting for unwinding after a day of exploration.
The park is known for its two distinct camping sections. The "Creekside" area features back-in sites, many of which are specifically noted as "big rig friendly." Across the street, there are even larger sites, providing ample space for even the biggest recreational vehicles. This commitment to generous lot sizes ensures that guests have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy their surroundings, a luxury not always found in RV parks. While the road to enter one section might be a "little narrow and steep" with a few "sharp turns," it is still managed effectively for large rigs, demonstrating thoughtful design.
The owner, Fred, consistently receives high praise for his exceptional hospitality. Guests describe him as "very accommodating, friendly, and professional," often stopping by to ensure everything is going well. His deep knowledge of the area is an added bonus, providing valuable insights for exploring local attractions. This personal touch significantly enhances the overall experience, making guests feel genuinely welcomed and cared for during their stay.

Cell service, while not perfect for all carriers (Sprint is almost non-existent, but Verizon is workable with 10mbps downloads), is generally usable, and the park does provide WiFi, though it can have a weak signal at times. Its unique blend of tranquil natural beauty, spacious sites, and the personalized, friendly service from owner Fred creates a truly inviting atmosphere. This park is particularly suitable for those who prioritize a quiet retreat while still desiring convenient access to Western North Carolina's most beloved attractions.
The generous size of the RV lots, including the highly sought-after Creekside spots, provides a rare sense of spaciousness and privacy. This allows for a more comfortable and enjoyable stay, whether you’re simply relaxing by the creek or setting up your outdoor living area. The fact that it can easily accommodate "big rigs" is a significant advantage for many modern RVers, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of vehicles.
Its strategic location, just minutes from Asheville and right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, is another major benefit for locals. It means less time spent commuting and more time enjoying the area's diverse offerings, from exploring downtown Asheville's breweries and arts scene to hiking scenic trails along the Parkway. This balance of secluded tranquility and urban accessibility is a key reason why Hominy Valley RV Park is so highly recommended.

Hominy Valley RV Park Reviews
A perfect, quiet, and clean RV park just outside of Asheville. The owner Fred is very accommodating, friendly, and professional. We stayed next to the creek in the lower section (across the street) and it was a beautiful area with lots of open land. We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area again. Highly recommended!
Feb 13, 2020 · Daniel CampbellHominy Valley RV Park is fantastic. However, they do not have restrooms or laundry facilities. They have two sections to camp. One part is referred to as Creekside. Those sites are all back-in, and big rig friendly. We stayed across the street, and the sites on this side were huge. However, the road to enter the campsite is a little narrow and steep. Still big rig friendly, but a few sharp turns were needed to enter the park. The owner stopped by to see how everything was going. He was friendly and knew the area very well.Sprint is almost non-existent. However, Verizon was workable with downloads of 10mbps. WiFi had a weak signal but was usable as well. The park is located about 10 minutes from Asheville, and right off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Aug 11, 2020 · Dave CiprianiWe love this little gem of an RV park nestled on a beautiful valley so much that we have decided to stay here long term.Fred is a wonderful host!
Nov 05, 2023 · S WThis is a nice little park. A small park with maybe eight sites for $50 a night cash. We never met the owner but texted with him and always got replies. I think this park is in a great location. It was clean and quiet.
Mar 12, 2024 · Diane LThis is a very quiet little valley with only 9 RV sites in a farm-like setting. Spacious, level and FHU. We had a 50A site along the creek, had a nice concrete patio with a trellis plus a swing under a gazebo just in front of us on the creek. Great WiFi too! We had more than enough room for our 44’ Class A and our tow vehicle. The owner is very down to earth and great to talk to. We had a minor mechanical issue on the way and the owner recommended two local heavy diesel places to get it fixed and that he’d worked with previously. Highly recommended, especially if you like a quiet spot with great stargazing. Will absolutely be back when we come through the Asheville/Candler area again. One of our new favorites!
