Highlander Mobile Manor Introduce
For many individuals and families across California, the pursuit of an affordable and stable living situation leads them to consider mobile home parks, also known as manufactured home communities. These communities can offer a unique blend of affordability and a sense of neighborhood. Highlander Mobile Manor, located in Highland, California, is one such community that has been part of the local housing landscape for many years. This article aims to provide a clear and factual overview of Highlander Mobile Manor, including its location, accessibility, and commonly offered services, while also transparently presenting crucial insights from current and prospective residents.
It's important for those considering mobile home park living to understand the nuances of each community, as experiences can vary significantly. While manufactured home communities often present a more accessible entry point into homeownership in California, factors such as management style and community atmosphere play a vital role in residents' quality of life. This review of Highlander Mobile Manor seeks to arm potential residents with comprehensive information, encouraging them to conduct thorough due diligence before making a decision.
Highlander Mobile Manor is situated at 26838 E 9th St, Highland, CA 92346, USA. This location places it within the city of Highland, a suburban community in San Bernardino County, California. Highland is nestled against the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, offering picturesque views and access to outdoor recreational opportunities. It provides a quieter residential setting while still being well-connected to the larger metropolitan area of the Inland Empire.
The park's address on East 9th Street offers residents a practical level of accessibility to local amenities and major transportation routes. Highland itself benefits from its proximity to significant freeways, including the I-210, which provides efficient travel to neighboring cities like San Bernardino, Redlands, and beyond, making commutes to employment centers, educational institutions (such as the University of California, San Bernardino), and regional attractions relatively straightforward. Residents will find various shopping centers, grocery stores, pharmacies, and dining options within a convenient driving distance, catering to daily needs. The location also offers easy access to local parks and recreational areas, appealing to those who enjoy outdoor activities. While Highland maintains a more suburban feel, its strategic position ensures that residents of Highlander Mobile Manor can readily access both essential services and the broader opportunities available in Southern California's Inland Empire.
Based on the standard offerings of mobile home parks and general industry practices, Highlander Mobile Manor would typically provide fundamental services to its residents. However, it is imperative to preface this section by acknowledging the overwhelming and consistent negative feedback regarding the park's management, which significantly impacts the delivery and perception of these services.
- Lot Rentals: The core service is the provision of rental lots for manufactured homes, which typically include hookups for essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity.
- Community Management: As with any mobile home park, there is an expectation of on-site or accessible management responsible for enforcing park rules, collecting rent, and addressing resident concerns. However, multiple reviews heavily criticize the manager's conduct.
- Utility Access: Residents are provided access to necessary utilities, with costs typically factored into lot rent or billed separately.
- Community Rules and Regulations: A set of guidelines is usually in place to maintain order and community standards (e.g., parking, noise, property upkeep). However, the application and enforcement of these rules by management appear to be a major point of contention among residents.
Given the significant concerns raised by residents regarding management, prospective individuals should treat the "Services Offered" with caution and thoroughly investigate the current state of these aspects.
Highlander Mobile Manor's features and highlights, based on its nature as an established mobile home park, should be viewed through the lens of resident feedback, which heavily influences the overall living experience.
- Established Community: The park has long-term residents, with families reportedly living there for over 13 years. This indicates a historically stable community, though recent issues appear to have severely impacted resident satisfaction.
- Affordable Housing Niche: Like many mobile home parks, Highlander Mobile Manor likely offers a more affordable housing option in Highland, California, compared to traditional stick-built homes, which is a key draw for many Californians.
However, it is critical to address the overwhelmingly negative "features" highlighted by customer reviews, which are central to the current perception of the park:
- Extremely Poor Management Conduct: This is the most significant and consistently reported issue. The manager (referred to as "Hilda" in one review) is described as "rude to everyone," "always on some power trip," and actively "attempts to cause issues between neighbors." This toxic management style appears to be a primary reason for widespread resident dissatisfaction.
- Coercive and Unreasonable Policies: Reviews highlight instances where the manager allegedly forces neighbors to report guests for minor infractions (like parking in a driveway) under threat of towing. This creates an environment of fear and undermines neighborly relations.
- Excessive Guest Parking Fees: The reported charge of "$45 to park your car" overnight for guests is exceptionally high and punitive, making family visits financially burdensome.
- Hindrance to Home Sales: Prospective buyers mention that the manager's rudeness and dismissive attitude actively deter sales, making it "impossible" for current homeowners to sell their properties. This has a direct negative financial impact on residents.
- Lack of Accountability from Ownership: Long-term residents express a strong desire for the "owners really need to do something about her," indicating a perceived lack of oversight or action despite ongoing issues.
- Fear of Retaliation: The statement "Everyone that lives here has for a long time and everyone stays quiet to keep the peace" suggests that residents feel intimidated and are afraid to speak up due to potential repercussions from management.
- Overall Negative Living Experience: Multiple reviews conclude with strong warnings against moving into the park, describing potential living conditions as "H E double hockey sticks" due to the management's behavior.
These are not minor complaints but systemic issues that profoundly impact the quality of life for residents and the value of their homes within the community.

Based on the overwhelming and consistent feedback from numerous current and prospective residents, Highlander Mobile Manor, despite its physical location in Highland, California, currently presents significant challenges that make it largely unsuitable for locals seeking a harmonious and well-managed living environment. While the concept of affordable mobile home living is attractive in California's high-cost housing market, the documented issues with management appear to create an oppressive and unpleasant atmosphere.
The core problem lies with the reported conduct of the manager, described as rude, dismissive, power-tripping, and actively fostering conflict. This not only makes daily interactions difficult but also creates unreasonable financial burdens (e.g., exorbitant guest parking fees) and hinders residents' ability to sell their homes. For any Californian considering a long-term residency, a supportive and professional management team is paramount for peace of mind and quality of life. The current reviews strongly suggest that this is not the case at Highlander Mobile Manor.
Therefore, while the park offers a potentially affordable entry point into the Highland housing market, the collective resident experience paints a picture of extreme dissatisfaction due to management issues. Prospective residents are not merely advised but strongly urged to exercise extreme caution, thoroughly investigate the current management situation, and consider these severe warnings before contemplating any move or purchase within Highlander Mobile Manor. For many locals, the current environment, as described by long-standing residents, would likely negate any potential benefits of its location or affordability. It appears to be a community where residents "suffer" due to a lack of effective and respectful management.

Highlander Mobile Manor Reviews
I rarely review anything, but this is a must. My family has been in this park for 13 years and something needs to be done with the manager here. She is rude to everyone! She is always on some power trip and even attempts to cause issues between neighbors. I will park in my families driveway and she calls saying neighbors are mad and we’re lucky they didn’t call to tow my car. The poor neighbors are being forced by her to call to tow vehicles that are guests visiting family. And if you want to spend the night be prepared to pay $45 to park your car. Everyone that lives here has for a long time and everyone stays quiet to keep the peace. The owners really need to do something about her. I was considering purchasing in here a few years ago, but I wouldn’t be able to tolerate her at all.
Jan 14, 2024 · Carissa EverettWas thinking of buying here but after meeting Hilda, I was definitely taking my offers somewhere else. She is so rude and looked like she just rolled out of bed. I did read the reviews about this place and wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt but she is impossible. Even though I was being polite, she was being very dismissive and rude. I was asking her simple questions and she gave a lot of attitude. Def takes her job wayyyyyyy to serious. Don’t buy here! She’s making these home owners suffer with selling their home, imagine when you want to sell, she will make it impossible. Look somewhere else, living here will literally be H E double hockey sticks. Please do something about this woman, they all hate it there because of her. When is enough going to be enough.
May 02, 2024 · Andrea PerezHilda the manager on the premises is super unprofessional and the R word! she does not know how to interact like a normal human if you’re thinking of coming here don’t! HILDA will make your life impossible and finds any excuse to not like you. She does not care about her tenants and targets you if she feels like it. I will also add that she is super unhealthy she does not look fit for her position the people deserve someone that can move around and help the tenants she looks terrible like if she has something contagious she never comes out of her house only to complain or she will directly contact you and yell over the phone. Kids are also not allowed to play outside even though it is a gated community and she also calls the tow truck on your visitors it has happened to a few of my neighbors I am currently trying to sell my home here but since she has something against me she is making it impossible I will be hiring a lawyer to finally leave this place. Wish you all the best!
Jun 06, 2023 · Gladys SherwoodWas trying to buy 2 trailers here and was just treated poorly by management. The park manager when i provided everything needed to buy the house tried to say i lied about giving them my tax information (i did not) and never returned my informantion back to me. Left a deposite there and never got it back, when i tried to ask questions she said our business was done and never answered anything and wouldnt return my calls to me or my lawyer. Super unprofessional, will never try to buy anything from here cause its pretty obvious shes gonna make sure you get stuck there.
Jun 29, 2022 · Travis BashistaManagement is impolite to prospective buyers; gets upset for asking a simple question. I can tell she makes it difficult for the home owners to sell their property. If you're in the market looking to buy, be prepared for some attitude.
