Location and Accessibility
Hideaway River Farm is conveniently located at 14630 E 676 Rd, Stockton, MO 65785, USA. This puts it within a two-hour drive of Kansas City, making it an excellent option for a quick weekend getaway or a longer vacation for residents in that metropolitan area. Stockton, Missouri, is known for its beautiful lake and outdoor recreational opportunities, offering a charming small-town feel while providing access to essential amenities.
One of the most notable accessibility features of Hideaway River Farm is its close proximity to a grocery store. As delighted campers have pointed out, "There is a grocery store that is adjacent to the property and a walking path to it -- the store has everything you could possibly need including beer, wine, liquor. We know for next time that we can literally just jump on the road and grab our groceries once there." This remarkable convenience means you can easily stock up on supplies or grab last-minute items without having to drive, enhancing the stress-free nature of your stay.
The farm also offers direct access to the Sac River. While there's a bridge downstream from the campsites that prevents direct floating from every spot, the park provides a boat ramp for water access directly from the property. Additionally, they have "other water access down the road to put in after the bridge" for those who wish to float. This thoughtful provision ensures that guests can fully enjoy the river for fishing, swimming, or launching small crafts like kayaks. The overall location blends rustic charm with modern convenience, providing easy access to both nature's beauty and necessary supplies.
Services Offered
- RV Sites with Hookups: Hideaway River Farm offers a variety of RV sites, including "Riverfront and Creekfront RV sites with water and 30 or 50 amp hookups." These cabins are well-equipped, featuring full kitchens with utensils, comfortable beds and pillows, and a bathroom with all necessary amenities. One reviewer highlighted the benefit of having "space for my husband and I and our dog!" making them a great pet-friendly option.

- Firewood Sales: Firewood is available for purchase at a self-serve station 24/7, with options to pay during booking for a discount or on-site with cash or card. Guests are encouraged to use locally sourced wood to prevent invasive species.

Hideaway River Farm Reviews
If you are looking for a place to camp or campgrounds within 2 hours of Kansas City, Hideaway river farm is a great option for families. They even gave you a helpful little map of the area at check in. The bathroom facilities were some of the cleanest I have ever seen on a campground. They have a playground for kids with cool logs to climb on. There is a boat ramp for water access but downstream is a bridge (shown in the video) so you would not be able to float directly from the campsites but they do have other water access down the road to put in after the bridge. They had small cabins and RV sites available which I can’t review since we tent camped but this is an ideal place for people who have a group with people who want both tent and cabin camping or have RVs.
Jun 01, 2025 · Mary MurphyOur experience was wonderful! The cabin is nice and has space for my husband and I and our dog! It's nice to be able to have our pet with us! They have everything from kitchen utensils, barhroom had all the things that was needed and bes and pillows where comfortable! The living space had room for a medium sized kennel for our dog. Scot was very nice when we checked in. I would definitely stay here again, especially with the cabin being a few yards from the river! It's a peaceful little cabin and well worth the stay!
