Hickory Creek RV Park

318 Washington Ave, Neosho, MO 64850, USA

4.0
The park itself is clean and the creek is nice. If you need anything or assistance there is no one out there to help you. By a busy road and lots of people in and out of the park so make sure to keep an eye on your stuff. The problem is checking in. By golly don't dare stay twice in one month. They will accuse you of setting up residence there. I stayed there the beginning of July so fireworks wouldn't damage my camper as we were doing them close to where it was parked. My husband works on the road and was not available to park it back for me so I've been learning to drive the truck and camper. We are getting ready to take a big trip but since my father has been in bad health and I am still learning I didn't want to go far from home. So at the end of July I thought I'd come back for a week and stay again. I got a lot of grief from Nancy in city hall acting like I was some homeless woman and was mistreating the park. She asked questions she didn't have the right to ask and she was quite rude. From what I've heard this is not the first time she's treated people like this. Our conversation ended with her walking away barking at me not to come back for 6 months and don't worry I won't be coming back again after that. - Ashley S

  • Scenic Creek Access: The park's location directly alongside Hickory Creek is a significant highlight, offering beautiful views and opportunities for relaxation by the water. The creek itself is known for its clear, clean water, adding to the park's natural appeal.
  • Proximity to Morse Park: Hickory Creek RV Park is within or directly adjacent to Morse Park, Neosho's largest park, spanning nearly 400 acres. This provides RVers with immediate access to a wealth of recreational opportunities, including a 1.73-mile pedestrian and bicycle nature trail, a disc golf course, a skate park, baseball/softball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts, and sand volleyball. While the park offers many positives, some past feedback from customers has highlighted areas for improvement regarding customer service and strict adherence to rules, particularly concerning the maximum seven-night stay limit and perceived accusations of residency. The park's policy on no RVs being left unattended for more than 72 hours and the strict maximum stay limit are clearly defined, aiming to prevent long-term residency and ensure availability for transient travelers. It's crucial for visitors to be aware of these regulations and communicate clearly with City Hall for a smooth experience. The park's setting by a busy road means some road noise, and while the creek is beautiful, guests are advised to keep an eye on their belongings due to people moving in and out of the park.
