Jul 05, 2024 · Fred ChampagneAs a new owner and being new to Vero Beach, I expected much more for the money I was charged for lot rent. The contract states it’s for lawn care, pool maintenance, roads, so on and so forth, but the truth is nothing done here is worth the amount charged. Lawn maintenance? It’s a joke! The guys walk through my carport, throwing grass everywhere with the weed eater they use, dig huge ruts in the lawn with the mower they pretend to mow with since it’s to big to mow the small yard we have,, and they don’t really know how to care for a lawn even when directed. The pool is another joke. I wouldn’t even want my dog to swim in it. Then you have the clubhouse, that’s the funniest part of it all. There’s no kitchen area so food can’t be prepared or offered inside nor do they have an outside grill to prepare foods outdoors. Not sure what good it’s for other than the joke of the HOA meetings that the elected officials for the HOA have and don’t really care about how the residence feel about their community but focus on personality issues during meetings and then make decisions based on what the property wants instead of what the residence want or need. If you’re looking for a nice community to join with an age restriction, you may want to look in other locations outside of Vero Beach, as most of these communities are the same.charging far to much for the little you get from the rent they are asking and usually a board of directors for an HOA that doesn’t really listen to its residence.
