Harmony Shores Mobile Home Port Introduce
Harmony Shores Mobile Home Port, located at 119 River Dr, Naples, FL 34112, USA, is a community in Naples, Florida, that is currently undergoing significant transformation. For Floridians considering mobile home living, understanding the dynamic nature of this particular park is crucial. It is in a period of "gentrifying" and transitioning into a "55 and Over" park, a shift that directly impacts who can reside there and the overall community environment.
The park's evolution involves "eliminating the 'junk' and bringing in new manufactured housing," indicating a clear intent by new owners to enhance the property's appeal and meet specific zoning requirements. This process aims to "clean the place up" and create a more desirable living space. While such transformations can lead to improved aesthetics and resident experience, it's also important for prospective residents to be aware of the ongoing changes and past experiences shared by current or former residents. This overview will delve into the publicly available information to provide a factual and comprehensive look at Harmony Shores Mobile Home Port for those considering it as a potential home in Southwest Florida.
Harmony Shores Mobile Home Port is strategically located at 119 River Dr, Naples, FL 34112, USA. This address places it within the highly sought-after Naples area, a city renowned for its beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, vibrant cultural scene, and upscale amenities. The "River Dr" designation suggests proximity to a waterway, potentially offering scenic views or easy access to recreational activities if water access is available.
The park's location offers excellent accessibility to key areas and essential services in Naples. Residents are typically just a short drive from a wide array of necessities, including grocery stores, pharmacies, healthcare facilities, and diverse dining options ranging from casual eateries to fine dining establishments. Naples is also known for its extensive retail offerings, from quaint boutiques to larger shopping centers, ensuring that all shopping needs are met conveniently.
Beyond daily conveniences, Harmony Shores' location provides easy access to Naples' celebrated attractions. The pristine beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or shell collecting, are usually just a short drive away. Cultural institutions, golf courses, and various recreational opportunities are also within convenient reach, allowing residents to fully embrace the active and engaging Florida lifestyle. Major roadways are easily accessible, facilitating commutes for work or leisure travel to other parts of Southwest Florida, including Immokalee, Marco Island, or even the Everglades. This blend of a potentially quiet residential setting with strong connectivity to urban amenities and natural attractions makes the location of Harmony Shores Mobile Home Port a practical consideration for local Floridians.
Harmony Shores Mobile Home Port is undergoing significant changes, and while specific, detailed service lists are not extensively available in public information, the nature of a mobile home park and its transition suggest certain core services are provided or are being enhanced.
- Lot Rentals: The primary service is the rental of individual lots for manufactured homes. As the park is "bringing in new manufactured housing," it implies an ongoing process of preparing and offering updated lots.
- Utility Hookups: Standard for mobile home parks, each lot would typically include hookups for essential utilities such as electricity, water, and sewer services. These are fundamental for comfortable living in a mobile home.
- Community Transformation and Upgrades: A key "service" currently underway is the "cleaning the place up; getting rid of the undesirables and riff riff" and "eliminating the 'junk'." This indicates active management efforts to improve the overall aesthetic, safety, and quality of the park environment, which benefits all residents.
- Transition to 55 and Over Community: This is a major service and policy change. The park is "making it a '55 and Over' park," which means it is catering specifically to an active adult demographic. This transition implies services and amenities will be geared towards this age group, potentially including social activities, quiet living spaces, and facilities suitable for older adults.
However, it is crucial to address the serious concerns raised in a former resident's review, which directly relates to perceived "services" or lack thereof:
- Disputed Rent Payments and Eviction Process: One review describes a highly negative experience: "Their office got broken into. They posted a letter saying anyone who paid their rent had to pay again, even with receipts from front office and my money order receipt. Took them to court won the case. Still had to move. No eviction on record though. Ask for deposit back They said they kept because of court costs. Illegal!!!! The place was left spotless." This indicates severe issues with financial management, communication, and potentially unlawful practices regarding rent collection, deposits, and tenant relations.
Prospective residents are strongly advised to meticulously clarify all payment procedures, lease terms, and especially policies regarding deposits and eviction processes directly with current management, preferably in writing, to avoid similar experiences.
Harmony Shores Mobile Home Port is currently characterized by significant transformative features that aim to redefine its appeal, alongside past issues that prospective residents must consider.
- Gentrification and Redevelopment: The most prominent feature is the ongoing "gentrifying" process, where "new owners are cleaning the place up; getting rid of the undesirables and riff riff" and "bringing in new manufactured housing." This indicates a commitment to modernizing the park, enhancing its aesthetic, and improving the overall living environment. This can lead to a more appealing and valuable community for residents.
- Transition to 55 and Over Community: This is a major highlight, as the park is becoming a "55 and Over" community. For active adults seeking a quiet, age-restricted environment, this transition is a significant draw. Such communities often foster a more serene atmosphere and offer amenities tailored to a mature demographic.
- Introduction of New Manufactured Housing: The focus on "bringing in new manufactured housing" suggests improved quality and potentially more modern amenities within the homes themselves, offering a higher standard of living for new residents.
- Potential for a Quieter and Cleaner Environment: The stated goal of "cleaning the place up" implies an effort to create a more peaceful and well-maintained park, which would be a significant highlight for those valuing cleanliness and tranquility.
- Prime Naples Location: Despite the internal changes, the park's location in Naples remains a key feature, offering convenient access to beaches, shopping, dining, and cultural attractions that draw people to Southwest Florida.
However, it is absolutely critical to highlight the serious negative feedback from past residents, which must be considered as part of the park's "features" or current challenges:
- Concerns Regarding Management Practices and Legality: The detailed account of disputed rent payments, demands for re-payment even with receipts, alleged illegal retention of deposits, and unfair treatment leading to forced moves (despite winning a court case) represents a severe red flag. Such experiences indicate potential issues with transparent and ethical management practices, as well as adherence to legal tenant protections.
- Past Instability/High Turnover: The reference to "getting rid of the undesirables and riff riff" while potentially positive for future residents, also suggests a past period of instability or significant tenant issues, which contributed to an undesirable environment.
These factors underscore the absolute necessity for prospective residents to conduct exhaustive due diligence, including verifying all policies in writing and researching tenant rights, before committing to a stay at Harmony Shores Mobile Home Port.

It is highly advisable to call ahead to inquire about the current status of the "55 and Over" transition, availability of new manufactured housing or lots, and specific details about all lease agreements, including payment procedures, utility responsibilities, and particularly, refund and eviction policies. Given past customer feedback, asking for written confirmation of all terms and conditions is strongly recommended. A personal visit to the park to observe the current conditions, cleanliness, and the visible progress of the "gentrifying" efforts is also crucial for an informed decision.
For Floridians, particularly those in the Southwest region who are seeking an affordable housing option within a transforming community, Harmony Shores Mobile Home Port in Naples presents a unique set of considerations. Its suitability largely hinges on an individual's specific needs, expectations, and willingness to navigate a community in transition.
From a location standpoint, Harmony Shores is undoubtedly well-placed. Being in Naples, residents enjoy convenient access to pristine Gulf beaches, renowned dining, upscale shopping, and a plethora of recreational activities that define the desirable Florida lifestyle. The transition to a "55 and Over" community will be a significant draw for active adult Floridians seeking a peaceful, age-restricted neighborhood with potentially tailored amenities and a quieter atmosphere.
However, it is absolutely critical for any local considering Harmony Shores to be fully aware of the serious past negative feedback concerning management practices, disputed payments, and eviction processes. These are substantial issues that cannot be overlooked. While the new ownership's stated goal is positive, prospective residents must exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence. This includes:
- Directly confirming the "55 and Over" status and ensuring they meet any age requirements.
- Obtaining all lease agreements, rules, and policies in writing, paying particular attention to terms regarding rent payment, deposits, and any conditions for tenancy.
- Visiting the park multiple times, at different times of day, to assess the current environment, cleanliness, and the progress of the stated improvements.
- Researching tenant rights in Florida and seeking legal advice if any terms seem unclear or unfair.
Ultimately, Harmony Shores Mobile Home Port offers the potential for affordable, age-restricted living in a prime Naples location. For Floridians who are fully informed about the park's past and present dynamics, and who are willing to proactively ensure clear communication and written agreements with management, it could become a suitable home as its transformation progresses. Its suitability is entirely dependent on an individual's comfort with the changes and their diligent verification of all terms of residency.

Harmony Shores Mobile Home Port Reviews
I have lived here for almost 5 years now. The new owners are cleaning the place up; getting rid of the undesirables and riff riff. Nor sure how I'm still here. *** grin***Well, I am not there any more. The County is making them eliminate all the rented travel trailer as they don't fit the zoning requirements. They are gentrifying and making it a "55 and Over" park. Eliminating the "junk" and bringing in new manufactured housing.

Apr 27, 2016 · Mariann ValykeoIf I could I would give no stars. The owners gave notice to have all people out in 3 days. They can't do that legally. Some mobile homes are owned and some rented. The owners want to fix their homes, that's all they have.
Oct 08, 2022 · Joseph SchneiderThe manager was fired in August 2017 for stealing rent money and electric money messing up everyone's accounts to make the owner think people owed them money when people had they're receipts. Resulting in many unlawful evictions. I have a tree on my home blocking my back entrance. in which they refuse to remove the office tells me (as is)! I have had no hot water for 5 months due to the water heater smoking! Yet some people think this a good place to live ya right!
Oct 29, 2017 · Gimmekiss2021 (Gimmekiss2021)Don’t waste your time I’m looking for somewhere to move . They will not fix my hot water I have to boil water to bathe my kids . There was a dead mouse under floor I had to pay to get it removed . Law says they must do both but they say they don’t do either anymore. Been told to take legal action but I prefer to just pray and find another place .
