The owners do not care about the health, safety, or wellness of their residents at all. They treat them like rent machines and harass them endlessly to maintain a facade of curb appeal to try to rope others into moving in, and provide no support or value to the lifestyle of their residents. The location would be great if there were actually any jobs around here, but most of us have to commute pretty far. They also offer a reward for referrals which they will do anything to get out of making good on, and I do not trust the managerial staff to respond to concerns.Update: 4 years later, branch has still not been removed despite assurances it was on a 'list to be taken care of'. They expressly forbid me from removing the tree myself, stating it was their property and they would take care of it, yet the tree removal company that finally just came by informed me they have provided multiple quotes for it over the years and never gotten a green light or payment from AJR. The roof beneath it is caving in and it threatens to fall through my house in a storm, endangering my family and property. So either my case is an exception and they are discriminating against me in particular, or maybe this is a standard you wouldn't want to settle for.

The office ladies are fast to help with questions and concerns. The maintenance guys keep everything so sharp looking. Has been a good place to raise our four kids.

We just received an eviction notice, because they claimed we didn’t have written permission to paint the skirting on our own house. We have never fallen behind on our rent. Do yourselves a favor and find somewhere else to live, you’ll save yourself a load of mental stress.

Then Shawn the sales manager called me back. They offer no weekend or evening appointment for those who work. They didn't seem interested in accommodating a potential buyer at all. They offered me two appointments a week out that were in the middle of a normal work day. Rather unimpressive for a sales team. Not a great impression to make on a potential buyer. I'll look elsewhere.
