This park is more than just a place to hook up; it's a working ranch with a distinct personality and a vision for future fun. If you're an adventurous Spirit of Mississippi and appreciate a place with character and a passionate owner, then understanding what Haas-Cienda Ranch RV Park is all about is key to planning your next unforgettable stay in our home state.
Haas-Cienda Ranch RV Park is located at 38 Haas Cienda Ln, Poplarville, MS 39470, USA. This address places it within the community of Poplarville, a charming town in Pearl River County, Mississippi. The park is conveniently situated approximately 60 miles from both Gulfport, Mississippi, and New Orleans, Louisiana, making it an accessible stop for travelers moving between these major hubs or for locals seeking a nearby retreat. Directions involve taking exit 27 from I-59, then a short drive on Barlow Lane before turning into the ranch, marked by signs. This relatively straightforward access minimizes the challenges often associated with navigating a larger RV.
Poplarville itself offers a taste of small-town Mississippi life, known for its annual Blueberry Jubilee and as the home of Pearl River Community College. While the park is set in a more rural environment, it's close enough to allow guests to explore local attractions like blueberry farms or Poplarville City Park. For those willing to drive a bit further, the proximity to Gulfport opens up opportunities for coastal adventures, while New Orleans offers world-class dining, music, and historical sites. Haas-Cienda Ranch RV Park provides a quiet, peaceful setting, particularly at night, which can be a welcome change from urban campgrounds.

- Jovial Owner with Big Plans: The owner, Brad, is frequently described as "a really great guy" and "quite jovial." His enthusiasm for the ranch is infectious, as he's "talking about putting in a dirt oval track" and already hosts "mud bogs on the weekends in the summer!" These plans for unique, high-energy events are a major highlight for those seeking active and unconventional recreation.
- Potential for Unique Activities: Beyond the existing ranch activities, the owner's plans for mud bogs and a dirt oval track suggest a future filled with exciting, adrenaline-pumping events. This is a significant draw for motorsport enthusiasts and those looking for more than just a quiet camping spot.
- Spacious Sites with Natural Surroundings: The property is noted for being "quite large" with "scattered trees," providing a sense of openness and natural beauty. This offers a peaceful setting for relaxation, especially at night.
- History and Character: While some reviews describe the property as "older" and in need of cleanup, they also acknowledge "a lot of history here." For those who appreciate character and the story behind a place, this offers a different kind of appeal than a brand-new resort.
It is important to acknowledge that some reviews mention the presence of unkempt old trailers and trash around some lots, indicating areas where residents' upkeep could improve. The owner's potential idea of a "massive cleanup by the patrons" or the introduction of "inexpensive prefab tiny home models" hints at ongoing efforts to improve the property's aesthetics and living conditions.

Haas-Cienda Ranch RV Park Reviews
This is an older property. And it's quite large. There's a lot of history here. And all of it is still here! 🙈 I don't think anything that has entered this property has ever left. 😬 It's all still sitting here rusting or rotting. It's pretty much a poverty level existence area. 🙁There's not an RV here less than 15 or 20 years old. A lot of disappointing and depressing 😥This place probably had its heyday around 50 years ago. 🧐It needs an extreme makeover requiring some large dumpsters 🗑️and undoubtedly huge bonfires🔥.Though they would be toxic.😷The owner is a really great guy. 🤓Quite jovial. He was telling me they have mud bogs on the weekends in the summer!🙌🏻That would be great fun.🥳 That kind of stuff I'm into. He's also talking about putting in a dirt oval track..That would be fantastic! 🙌🏻Perhaps even work in a massive cleanup by the patrons. Then offer them a huge barbecue. There's a lot of possibilities for this place.I see there might be an attempt to introduce some inexpensive prefab tiny home models. 🤩I hope some of these people can qualify for those 🙏🏻The bathrooms🚻 and showers were spacious. The showers were actually fiberglass rather than tile which would have rotted away by now.Nice hot water 🥵and decent shower heads. 🚿However there is nobody doing any cleaning or maintenance. They look like there are years past needing new shower curtains 😥This was not one of those pleasant PA finds that I've had in the past.😥Perhaps it's a candidate for a work camper program 👷🏻♂️although practically speaking everybody living there could be a work camper already 🫢
Sep 26, 2024 · Michael ScottWe stayed 2 nights in a travel trailer. The owner Brad was nice enough as was another that backed our trailer in. Its a working ranch and the animals were cute and friendly. The only thing that bothered us was the unkempt old trailers with trash around the lots. I would think the owner would ask residents to clean up their areas. The park grounds and animal areas were well maintained. It was also very peaceful at day and night.

Mr. Brad the owner is very sweet and caring. Maintance crew is very helpful on whatever you need for your camper or even in the cabins. They are Johnny on the Spot... They also have shower houses with restroom privileges.
