Jun 26, 2025 · Kenneth BallardWonderful park and amazing staff!I had a fantastic stay. It was perfect for a relaxing getaway. A big shout-out to Jenni at the front desk! She was incredibly professional, courteous, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Her helpful attitude and friendly demeanor made check-in a breeze and really set the tone for a great experience. Highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!
Jun 20, 2025 · Nathaniel EdwardsDecent place to camp, but we likely won’t return. The obstacle course advertised is sitting on what looks and smells like stagnant water. It’s super cool, but there needs be a better functioning pump/fountain to keep that water moving. One of the three pools this weekend was green, and other guests that stay frequently confirmed this wasn’t a rare occurrence. The playground equipment is a bit outdated and very small. The water park is probably the best thing there, but be cautious, as there is no lifeguard on duty. We witnessed an incident this weekend in which a toddler was grabbed on the slides by another parent whom was unknown to the child because the toddler cut in line in front of his child. My suggestion to management would be to consider placing a staff member at the large slides platform to prevent issues, as what we witnessed was totally inappropriate on behalf of the adult in the situation. They also allow day passes to the park, which increases crowding. The activity center is a neat concept, but could be executed better. There was also some other water type activity that did not appear to be operating properly. All that said, the staff was friendly, and everyone we encountered was kind. Restrooms and front office were very clean and nice. There were just too many other concerns that we had to make it worth returning. There’s other places you can go with better amenities for the same cost. As stated by others, this place has a lot of potential, but it needs some work.
Jun 01, 2025 · TI want to start off Me and my Family had a good time. 5 stars on the cabin we stayed in, it was very clean. I give the pool maintenance crew 5 stars for check up on pool and keeping them clean as possible on a busy weekend. The front office and pizza/ice cream was nice and clean and good. The down sides were we called before hand and no mention that the Wibit was down and looked like its been down for awhile maybe just put a fishing pear and paddle boats for entertainment, the other is the Water Wars game was all broke and non working. Movies at night was non existent due to who knows why. ( idea maybe open up activity center and have the movies in there if the outside is out of commission or get a way to get power out to the out side unit. ) People were bringing there own blow up movie screens and just doing it them self. The RC track was way over grown and def not maintained. Horse shoe area needed new sand and maintained. activity center has so much potential but does not seem like its used or advertised appropriately. But over all we enjoyed the pools and a short get away from the city. I want to give this more stars but with only the activity center and pools open and the semi false advertising it get a 3.On the Flip side i would like to give this another chance later on, if i see reviews get better.
Jun 17, 2025 · Mike WalkerWe stayed at Great Escapes RV Resort in Perrin over Memorial Day weekend and were extremely disappointed with the experience. We drove nearly 2 hours to get there and spent over $700 for two sites, expecting a luxury RV resort—but it was far from it.First, the water pressure was almost non-existent—just a trickle when trying to wash dishes. I attempted to contact the after-hours line Friday night with no answer. On Saturday, I called the office and was told the park runs on a well system and when full, there’s little to no water pressure. I later found out this is a known issue during high-volume weekends—even the park staff filled their fresh water tanks ahead of time, knowing what would happen. This was never disclosed at the time of booking and absolutely should have been.To make matters worse, one of the pools and the kids’ splash pad were closed for maintenance. The two remaining pools were overcrowded and the water was so dirty you couldn’t even see through it. Not what you’d expect from a “luxury” RV resort.I went to the front office three times to speak with a manager, and each time I was told they weren’t available. I plan to reach out to the parent company directly.Sadly, I cannot recommend this resort and we will not be returning.
