★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This company, which also runs Northwood Apartments, does not accept co-signers/guarantors even though they say they do. My application was not accepted even with a job offer and a guarantor who makes over 7 times the amount of rent a month along with other apartments as references that were positive. This shows that Guarantors and references do not matter to this company.
October 01 · Devin LarsonThere are a variety of units, including studios, cabins, apartments, and mobile homes to rent. The manager is very helpful and polite. Rent varies according to the housing you choose. Often, utilities are included in the rent. Quiet community. I have friends that live there.
July 18 · Lissa ArmasA great place to live! singular standing 2 or 1 bedroom apartments, or studio more traditional style apartments. The renters are great people, extremely helpful and accommodating with your needs. I never notice the neighbors but the ones I have talked to are very friendly. The cabins are recently remodeled, with an option of furnishing; the furniture I received all was new/lightly used, nice leather couch and chair, table, chairs, bed, etc. overall very ideal place.
August 20 · Ella MarieMy daughter and her friend applied at these units in December and were quoted $50 each per application. Her friend didn't have the deposit and my daughter had only been working for 1 month so they reached out to my ex-husband for help, he in turn called me to let me know. Since my daughter and I were quarreling and not speaking at that moment, I called Grand Rivers and spoke to their representative so that I could pay the $100 on their behalf. I was open and transparent with her, informing her of our quarreling situation, and asked if she could do this transaction without letting her know I had been the one to pay. I asked if it was ok for her to say it was my ex-husband who called to pay? She said yes, that was ok with her, she would not tell her it was me. I also asked since my daughter had recent job history, what happens with the $100 if they get denied and if its going to be hard for her to get approved? She said its rare for anyone not to get approved, only felons don't get approved. I thanked her and ended the conversation confident that my daughter was safe and would get approved since she didn’t have any felonies. She sent me a pic of my receipt (found below.) She later called me asking about our quarreling situation? Said her manager was concerned that she was a runaway? I assured her my daughter is a 20-year-old adult and not a runaway, she is working and responsible and it was only a fight we were having, nothing serious. She thanked me and hung up. Later my husband called saying my daughter had called him all upset, said the lady told her I had been the one to pay and that they were denied, she tried reaching her again but she would no longer answer her phone. I felt deceived and taken advantage of. I can totally understand if she had to tell my daughter but why lie about it? Why not have integrity and practice some transparency?? I would have been fine if she would have said, “Sorry, I would need to let her know.” Or, “Sorry, I can’t guarantee she will be approved.” Or something like that, I would much rather get transparency and be aware of the possible outcomes rather than be deceived and get taken advantage of.
January 12 · Maribel MurilloThis is a hybrid mobile home / RV park. Many empty lots were filled with cabin style trailer homes. Lot rent depends on what is put on it, but they are very competitively priced. The manager bends over backwards for long term tenants and has a good sense of humor. Just signed another long term lease!
