For many across our state, mobile home parks can offer a distinct alternative to traditional housing, often providing a different approach to homeownership and community living. Glen Laurel, like other mobile home parks, aims to provide a structured environment for its residents.
At its core, a mobile home park is a designated community designed to accommodate manufactured homes, often referred to as mobile homes. In these parks, residents typically own their home but lease the land it sits on. This model can make homeownership more accessible, and parks often provide certain communal services and amenities. Glen Laurel Mobile Home Park operates within this framework, providing lots for mobile homes within its community.
The appeal of mobile home living can vary greatly depending on individual priorities. It often involves a unique set of responsibilities and benefits that differ from traditional homeownership or renting apartments. Glen Laurel, like any community, has its own management style and approach to resident services. One aspect that stands out from recent feedback is the responsiveness of maintenance in emergency situations, highlighting a commitment to resident safety during critical times.
It's important for prospective residents to conduct thorough research, including direct inquiries, to understand all aspects of living in any mobile home park, including Glen Laurel. While comprehensive details on all services are best obtained directly from Glen Laurel Mobile Home Park, available information and common mobile home park operations suggest certain services are typically provided. Based on recent resident feedback, the following aspects of service have been highlighted:
- Lot Rental: Residents lease the individual plots of land on which their mobile homes are situated. This is a core service, providing the space for home placement.
- Emergency Maintenance Response: A key service highlighted by a resident is the prompt response of the maintenance team during emergencies. In one instance, "Frank, the maintenance guy was at my house within an hour" after a tree fell, and he "arranged to have the debris cleaned up and removed the next day (Sunday)." This indicates a commitment to urgent support in critical situations.
- Utility Hookups: As with most mobile home parks, Glen Laurel would provide the necessary infrastructure for essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity to each lot. Residents typically arrange and pay for their individual utility services.
- Park Rule Enforcement (Implicit): While not explicitly detailed as a service, the operation of any community implies a set of rules and guidelines that residents are expected to follow, often concerning lot upkeep, noise, and general conduct, which contributes to overall park order.
It is important for prospective residents to note that, according to some reviews, services like lawn care are not provided as part of the standard lot rent, and trash disposal (e.g., wheeling out bins) is also not included. These are responsibilities that residents would typically manage independently. Direct inquiry with park management is recommended to fully understand all included services and tenant responsibilities.
Glen Laurel Mobile Home Park presents several features and highlights that are noteworthy for prospective residents in North Carolina. While some aspects of resident experience vary, certain elements of the park's operation and environment stand out:
- Emergency Maintenance Responsiveness: A significant highlight is the exceptional responsiveness of the maintenance team during emergencies. The example of "Frank, the maintenance guy" arriving within an hour to address a fallen tree and arranging prompt cleanup, even on a Sunday, demonstrates a strong commitment to resident safety and crisis management. This level of support in critical situations is highly valued.
- Established Community: The presence of residents who have lived in the park for "10 years" indicates an established community. While individual experiences vary, long-term residents suggest a certain level of stability within the park.
- Location in Concord, NC: The park's address in Concord offers convenient access to a variety of local amenities, shopping centers, dining options, and entertainment venues, as well as major roadways for commuting throughout the greater Charlotte area.
- Individual Lot Responsibility: Residents are generally responsible for maintaining their own lots, including lawn care and trash disposal, which can be seen as a feature offering residents more control over their immediate living space.
It is important to acknowledge that some resident feedback also highlights concerns, such as annual rent increases and the lack of included services like lawn care. These are factors that prospective residents should carefully consider and discuss with park management during their inquiry. The recent positive update regarding emergency maintenance response indicates that critical support is provided, even if daily services like lawn care are not included in the lot rent.

Glen Laurel Reviews
I've lived here for awhile now and I'm really not thrilled with it. The lot rent keeps going up but you get nothing for it. No service, no lawn care and there is no way to sign a multiple year lease.7/23/24 I feel a need to update my review. On 7/21 at 7pm a tree fell on my house , completely blocking the front entrance. I called the emergency number and Frank, the maintenance guy was at my house within an hour. He arranged to have the debris cleaned up and removed the next day(Sunday). I really appreciate the help getting this taken care of so quickly. That's why I've changed my rating to 4 stars.
Jul 23, 2024 · Tommy MartinEvery year the rent goes up. How much can u possible charge for such a small area of land? Rent is now close to 750 which is more than mortgage payment. Every year it goes up and nothing extra is done through the year. They don't wheel out your trash and bring it back to your home. They don't cut your grass but yet wanna overcharge you if they have to do it. Bring your lube if u move here cause they'll screw you. They are all about getting u in to take that deposit but won't tell you in 3 years your rent will go up 100$ to the point it makes people move out...then they do it again and collect the next person's deposit and so on and so on. My neighbor has lived here for 10 years and they raised his rent every single year! Don't move here!!
Apr 14, 2025 · Chris JonesLive here for 3 years now. They failed to mention the rent will increase yearly. My rent is more than my mortgage. Every year the increase the lot rent with no justification as to why. It's their land but don't cut "their grass" but want to charge you 50$ to cut a yard that only takes 10 minutes to cut with a push mower. You would think after rent increase for several years they would at least use that money to hire a company to cut the entire community. The neighborhood gets worse by the year and the rent increases. It's a daily occurrence the kids liter in my yard on the way home of the school bus. It's not a great place to live. The pool is ran by a lady that has a gang of friends in the neighborhood and if you ain't in the friendly circle you be look at funny and laughed at when you do visit the pool. They don't wheel your trash or to the road even though they increase the rent every year without and reason why our explanation as to where that money is going. If they were honest and up front from the beginning and that in 3 years my rent works be more than my mortgage...id never woulda signed those papers. Don't move here... its only getting worse!. It's a scam. They take your deposit then raise your rent every year only to force people to move out just to re-sell and get their next victim to pay their deposit... only to raise their rent the next 5 years and make it unaffordable... then the cycle repeats itself. At their yearly rent raise...in the next 5 years... I'll be close to 1000 in lot rent and my mortgage is only 600. This place is a scam.
