This article will provide a clear, engaging, and informative overview of Girard RV Park, detailing its location, services, and what you, as a local user or traveler, might expect from your stay in this part of the Peach State.
An RV park serves as a dedicated facility for recreational vehicles, providing individual sites where RVs, motorhomes, and travel trailers can connect to utilities such as electricity, water, and sewer. These parks cater to a wide range of needs, from brief overnight stops to longer-term residency. The core appeal of RV parks lies in their ability to offer a stable and equipped base, allowing travelers to enjoy the comforts of their RV while on the road. While some RV parks are elaborate resorts, others, like Girard RV Park, focus on providing fundamental necessities for a practical and unpretentious stay. Understanding this distinction is important when considering where to park your rig.
Girard RV Park is conveniently located at 10053 GA-23, Girard, GA 30427, USA. This address places it directly on a state highway, offering straightforward access for RVers traveling through the region. Girard itself is a small, rural community within Burke County, Georgia. The park's location on GA-23 means that it’s easily identifiable and accessible without requiring complex navigation through small town streets, which is a significant benefit for those driving larger RVs. This direct access to a main road streamlines arrivals and departures, making it a pragmatic choice for travelers.
The accessibility of Girard RV Park, while situated in a rural area, means it provides a quiet escape from urban hustle while still offering reasonable proximity to essential services. Glennville, a larger town nearby, likely offers more extensive amenities such as major grocery stores, a wider variety of dining options, and additional services. For guests at Girard RV Park, this means that while the immediate surroundings are peaceful, necessary supplies are within a convenient driving distance. The park's location can serve as a simple base for exploring the local charm of Burke County, including any nearby state parks or natural attractions, before continuing your journey through Georgia.
Girard RV Park focuses on providing the foundational services that RVers require for a comfortable and functional stay. Based on customer reviews and common offerings for similar parks, you can generally expect the following services:
- Full Hookups: This is a critical service, providing individual sites with connections for electricity (typically 30-amp and 50-amp to accommodate various RVs), fresh water, and sewer. This allows residents to use their RV's onboard facilities fully.
- Accommodating Management: One review specifically mentions that "the guy from the office was super helpful," indicating a focus on customer service and assistance for guests.
- Sites for RVs: The primary service is providing dedicated spaces for recreational vehicles.
- Cabin Rentals: While primarily an RV park, the mention of "stayed in a cabin" indicates that alternative lodging options might be available, though their amenities should be fully clarified upon inquiry.
While some reviews mention challenges with water pressure and grass cutting, the park appears committed to providing the basic utility connections and a helpful presence to address guest needs.
Despite being described as "very minimal" by some and having noted areas for improvement, Girard RV Park does offer several features and highlights that are important to many RV travelers. It is essential for prospective visitors to consider these practical aspects:
- Convenient Highway Access: Its direct location on GA-23 makes it an easy-to-find and quick-to-access stop for travelers, especially those needing an overnight rest.
- Full Utility Hookups: The availability of full hookups (electricity, water, sewer) at sites is a major benefit, ensuring a comfortable and self-sufficient stay for RVers.
- Friendly and Helpful Staff: Positive feedback about the office staff's helpfulness ("made sure we had a spot to cook") suggests a welcoming environment and a willingness to assist guests with their needs.
- Affordable Option: While not explicitly stated, RV parks that offer a more "minimal" experience often do so at a more budget-friendly price point, which can be a significant draw for many travelers.
- Peaceful Rural Setting: Being in Girard offers a quieter alternative to busy urban RV parks, appealing to those who prefer a tranquil environment.
- Clean Cabins (where applicable): One review noted the cabin was "clean and the bed was cozy," indicating a focus on basic cleanliness for non-RV accommodations.
Prospective guests should be prepared for a utilitarian experience, focusing on the core services provided rather than extensive recreational amenities, and consider verifying the current conditions of specific sites or facilities upon booking.

Girard RV Park Reviews
Stayed in a cabin. The floor in the bed room was flimsy, the bathroom has a curtain not a door, and the oven did not work. This cabin is basically a shed with windows. All that said the guy from the office was super helpful and made sure we had a spot to cook. It was clean and the bed was cozy.
Dec 15, 2024 · Jay S.Very low water pressure and they do not cut the grass. The grass needed cutting when I got here it's now 2 weeks later I asked about the grass they say the guy didn't cut it because my car was in the way...all the grass still need cutting
Aug 16, 2019 · Miriam BeyWith over 75 campers and spaces to park your own camper or you can rent a camper. All campers are nice, clean, and cozzy. They also have 40 brand new cabins built this year fully furnished and ready to rent. Park has wifi available and is a family owned business wth owners that are very nice and helpful.
Sep 20, 2015 · MykelBeen here now a little over 2 months maybe 3 and have been impressed from day 1 its a family owned park with one side Cottages and the other Campers to rent or park your own. The grass is always cut the roads are maintained constantly. The price is right where you would expect it to be. Most of the cottages are brand new older ones are just maybe 2 years at most. Dog friendly community, most people living here work at Vogtle 3&4 so there is a lot of friendy familiar faces. And for the beer drinkers there is a package shop on the property so No excuse to drive drunk or buzzed just saying. 24 hour laundromat. The list can go on. I REALLY like it here.
