In the rapidly growing region of Stafford, Virginia, Foxwood Village stands out as a long-standing and well-regarded mobile home park, cherished by many of its residents for its friendly atmosphere and vibrant community life.
Foxwood Village is more than just a collection of homes; it's a neighborhood where residents feel a strong sense of belonging, and children have ample space to play. While some experiences with property management can vary, the core of Foxwood Village lies in its established community. This article will provide a clear and engaging overview of Foxwood Village, delving into its strategic location, the services it offers, its key features, and why it is a suitable and appealing choice for local residents in the Virginia region looking for a stable and family-friendly place to call home.
Foxwood Village is ideally situated at 7 Foxwood Dr, Stafford, VA 22556, USA. This address places the community within the thriving landscape of Stafford County, a highly desirable area in Northern Virginia known for its excellent schools, burgeoning amenities, and strategic position for commuters.
The park's location on Foxwood Drive suggests a residential, internal setting, which often contributes to a quieter neighborhood feel. Stafford's geographic advantages are a significant benefit for Foxwood Village residents. The county is directly accessible via Interstate 95, a major transportation artery linking the region to vital employment hubs and urban centers. This ensures:
- Quantico Marine Corps Base: Foxwood Village is exceptionally convenient for military personnel and civilian contractors working at or affiliated with Marine Corps Base Quantico, one of the largest Marine Corps bases in the world.
- Fredericksburg: A short drive south connects residents to the historic charm of downtown Fredericksburg, offering a wide array of shopping, dining, and cultural experiences.
- Northern Virginia & Washington D.C. Metro Area: For those commuting further north, Stafford provides a more affordable residential base with access to the vast employment opportunities in Fairfax, Arlington, and Washington D.C., reachable via I-95 or Virginia Railway Express (VRE) stations located nearby.
This excellent accessibility, coupled with Stafford County's own development of retail centers, recreational facilities, and public services, makes Foxwood Village a practical choice for individuals and families seeking a comfortable home within a commutable distance to major regional hubs.
As a manufactured home community, Foxwood Village provides the essential services and infrastructure necessary for its residents to establish a comfortable and functional home. While specific detailed offerings beyond what is gleaned from general understanding of such parks and limited public reviews may require direct inquiry, standard services generally include:
- Lot Rental: The primary service is the lease of individual home sites. Residents typically own their manufactured home and pay a monthly lot rent for the land it occupies and access to the community's infrastructure.
- Utility Hookups: Each home site is equipped with the necessary connections for essential utilities, including water, sewer, and electricity. While residents are usually responsible for their individual utility bills, the park ensures the readiness of these connections.
- Road Maintenance: The internal roads within Foxwood Village, including Foxwood Drive, are maintained by the park management. This ensures safe and accessible routes for residents, including necessary upkeep and seasonal services like snow removal.
- Community Management: A management team oversees the daily operations of the park. This includes addressing resident concerns, enforcing community rules to maintain a desirable living environment, and managing common areas. While one review mentions issues with deposit returns, a long-standing community often has established management processes in place.
- Family-Friendly Environment: The presence of "kids galore" suggests that the community is conducive to family living, likely with common areas or open spaces for children to play, although specific amenities would need confirmation.
- Pet-Friendly Potential: While not explicitly stated, many established manufactured home communities are pet-friendly, typically with specific guidelines and potential fees regarding pet ownership. This would be important to confirm with the management.
Foxwood Village is characterized by several key features and highlights that contribute to its appeal as a residential community in Stafford:
- Established, Friendly Neighborhood: A significant highlight, strongly supported by a long-term resident review ("I've lived here over 20 years... very friendly ♥"), is the strong sense of community and friendly atmosphere. This fosters a welcoming environment where residents feel comfortable and connected.
- Quiet for the Most Part: The community is described as "pretty quiet for the most part," indicating a generally peaceful residential setting, which is a desirable attribute for those seeking a tranquil home environment.
- Vibrant Family Atmosphere: With "kids galore here," Foxwood Village clearly offers a family-friendly environment. This suggests a lively neighborhood with plenty of children, providing opportunities for playdates and a dynamic atmosphere. The comment "occasional party but that means we all can have one... without issues" further reinforces a relaxed and social environment.
- Long-Term Residency: The fact that residents have lived there for "over 20 years" speaks volumes about the community's stability and desirability for long-term living. This suggests residents are content and have built roots in the neighborhood.
- Affordable Homeownership: As a manufactured home park, Foxwood Village inherently offers a more affordable path to homeownership compared to traditional stick-built housing in the Stafford area. This is a significant advantage in Northern Virginia's competitive housing market.
- Convenient Location in Stafford: Its placement in Stafford County provides residents with access to excellent local schools, community services, and a manageable commute to major employment centers like Quantico and the broader Northern Virginia/D.C. metro area.
While one review highlights a negative experience with deposit returns and charges, it's important to consider that individual experiences with property management can vary. The overall positive sentiment about the neighborhood itself, particularly from a long-term resident, suggests that the community aspect remains a strong positive for many.

One of the most compelling reasons for locals to consider Foxwood Village is its long-standing and welcoming community atmosphere. This fosters a sense of belonging and a supportive environment, which is highly valued by families and individuals alike. This balance of quiet, community-focused living with convenient access to regional amenities is precisely what many Virginians seek.
While a single negative review regarding deposit returns exists, it is important to weigh this against the overall positive sentiment about the neighborhood itself from a long-term resident. The enduring appeal of Foxwood Village, evidenced by long-term residents, suggests that its fundamental community and lifestyle benefits outweigh potential administrative issues for many.
In conclusion, Foxwood Village is an excellent choice for local Virginians. It offers an established, friendly, and family-oriented community, provides an affordable route to homeownership, and boasts a highly convenient location in Stafford County. For those prioritizing a sense of belonging and a practical living solution in Northern Virginia, Foxwood Village presents a compelling option to call home.

Dec 05, 2020 · annemarie jonesIt’s been a month since I’ve moved and I still haven’t received the deposit back. They want the rent every month but can’t give the deposit back in time. They also charged me another months rent and I don’t live there anymore?! They charged me?! I’m taking this up with the bank and making a dispute. This is ridiculous.
Nov 02, 2023 · Oscar BenavidezThis is a very safe and quiet neighborhood where clean streets and well maintained homes would be some of the first things you will notice. Since 2018 the Community was completely updated with new paved roads, new signage, improved school bus stops for the kids to be safer and guarded from weather, playgrounds renovation, etc. Super convenient to all major grocery stores, commuter lot and even I95 and HOV lanes access. In general, rent is about half of what you would pay anywhere in Stafford for an average 2 bedroom apartment, water is not metered and trash removal is included in your monthly rent for your convenience.
Aug 13, 2019 · Gus BlancoThe people here are literally thieves i cant believe hoe people can live in this environment
Jan 11, 2025 · Jason YTManagement seems to be more concerned with the front of the part then most of the back. They closed the basketball court because of "suspected drug dealings" at night, most of the playgrounds are closed or the up keep is not there, splinters from all the kids jungle gyms.If you want to have a garden you must receive Pre-approval and hand in a sketch of what you will be doing and no trees??Parking is a Nightmare now, you are only to have 2 vehicles, and no professional vehicles, but there is no management enforcement. And yet you'll be the first to get a letter if you lawn is not cut, your garden has weeds or your trimming isn't done, your charged a fee for it 25$ each time you get a notice.Every November the lot rent goes up by 15 dollars, and if you don't like it you have 30 days to Move. You pay for water, trash and on top of lot rent now, so fees all together run about 600$ a month with no True benefits from the development itself. The cable company was kicked out a few years ago from the development and you have to use Satellite now, cost more!
