Flat Rock Village Retirement Reviews
I moved here 25 years ago. I helped working on it with original owner. Met my wife here, moved away when it first sold. Was paying $100, including water paid. . My wife had stroke so we moved back. This a real different park. It was build on a mountain which Noone in there right mind would do. So many challenges to overcome. That's what makes it unique. It's like living in the country. Trailers are well spaced. Residents take pride in their homes. Lots of decks, wheelchair ramps. Beautiful planters and scrubs. Great dinners at the clubhouse. Everyone is friendly. Many Fallout shelters.
Jan 24, 2025 · James DempseyThis review is for my elderly parents that live at Flat Rock Village .This place is not a good place to live anymore. As you can see by the many other reviews. The management has continued to increase the lot rent. They lied about the $15 increase in 2022. In 2022 they increased the rent $30, in 2023 they increased the rent $70 and now they plan to increase the rent $45 for 2024. I emailed the management company last year to voice my concerns and they emailed me back the information about selling the property. Basically if I’m unhappy get out! They do not care about the senior people living on their property. These people live on a fixed income of mostly just social security. This property is very old and needs updating. Most of the trailers are falling apart. There has been no improvements with all of the rent increases. I plan to write to our local government to voice my concerns and I encourage other residents to do the same. Here’s a list: John Boozman,Tom Cotton, Steve Womack, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Jim Perry and Charlene Fite. Mobile home parks are supposed to be affordable housing but that is no longer the case.
Dec 06, 2023 · Jessica SavageI've lived in the park since 2001 except for moving out two different times and coming back. I always come back because I feel safe here as a single senior. I do want to say that the rent has increased at least four times in the last 2 or 3 years, if not for all people at least for me. I don't like having to pay more but at my age I plan on staying here till they wheel me out, as long as they keep this strictly a senior Park. I've moved within the park seven times (I think Connie and I had contest to see who could move the most LOL) and each Street I've lived on I've had wonderful neighbors.
Jul 30, 2022 · Patricia DreckmanGranny lives hear very good place for retirement if you own your place
Apr 12, 2025 · Jesse HowardI live here and my biggest complaint is streets are getting bad, some under age people living with parents, rent has increased 3 times in the 4 years I've lived here. Would like to see improvements made and trailers that have trash cleaned up. I would also like to see a gate in the front entrance to keep out undesirables. The village had sold again so I'm sure the rent will increase AGAIN!!
