Direct ATV Trail Access: This is a primary highlight. The park provides direct access to hundreds of miles of ATV trails, including the Tuscobia State Trail. The owners are "Avid ATV Riders" themselves and reportedly offer "guided rides most weekends," allowing guests to ride directly from their campsite to various destinations for lunch or picnics.

Pet-Friendly Policy: The park welcomes pets, allowing guests to bring their furry companions along for their outdoor adventures (though pets are not allowed in cabins).
Owner/Host Interaction: The owners, Rick and Gail, are noted for their presence and involvement. One review highlights their helpfulness in guiding arrivals after hours and offering a 50-amp adapter. They are also described as stopping by sites to check in and bringing firewood. However, another review describes a negative interaction where an owner allegedly "berated and complained" about a guest's occupation and later, the guest received a ticket from the Sheriff in an area where the owner allegedly instructed patrol, despite the park being advertised as ATV friendly. This indicates a mixed experience with owner interactions, varying from "nice and considerate" to a source of "retaliation."
Surrounded by Nature: The campground is "surrounded by tons of trees" and near "beautiful rivers and lakes," offering a natural setting. Nearby attractions include the Blue Hills for hiking and Red Cedar Lake for fishing and boating.
Playground: A playground is available for children, adding to the family-friendly amenities.
The primary draw for Featherstone RV Park is undeniably its ATV access and the natural setting. However, prospective guests should be aware of the varied experiences with owner interactions, particularly concerning the interpretation and enforcement of ATV rules and local regulations.

Featherstone RV Park Reviews
Here is an honest review. First the positives the bathrooms were clean along with the showers. Firewood was reasonably priced. Campground was quiet. Now the negatives, the first night of our arrival the owners Rick and Gail came to visit which started out nice until he found out my occupation and proceeded to berate and complain to me about the company I work for. I started to get a little hot because I'm on VACATION I left work. My wife sensed my blood boiling and tried to change the subject but this guy would not stop. Finally he left and we continued to enjoy our camp fire. Now keep in mind the campground is advertised as ATV friendly that's why we chose this one. Owner had maps at each picnic table with directions to the trail. I saw the trail when I drove in so didn't pay much attention to the map. BIG MISTAKE, while there were NO signs warning us, we went out the the wrong exit of the campground we quickly found out when the Sheriff pulled us over and gave us tickets. Sheriff told us the owner told him to patrol that area. Not sure if this was his retailtion for my comments the night before. I was told I will receive the citation in the mail I inquired to the price and was told around 230.00 the sheriff told us the town's don't like the ATVs. So while we enjoyed the trails we will take our money where it is wanted. We visited many stores, gas stations, and even a wine shop where we purchased many items supporting these small towns. But that was our last trip to this area.
Aug 27, 2019 · Chris WrightNice and considerate owners. They helped us find our campsite in the dark when we arrived after hours and offered a 50amp adapter when they saw our travel trailer. They stopped at our site the next morning to get us checked in, and brought firewood later in the day. The campsite is clean and quiet. The ATVs weren’t an issue at all. At night, you get an amazing view of the stars.
Jul 09, 2020 · Lou OchsStayed for 17 nights and really enjoyed our stay for bear hunting! Quiet and peaceful place. Owners are really nice. Found out they do have a shower house, and atv wash station (coin operated) for use.
Sep 21, 2023 · Carlee BerryWonderful quiet campground. The owner greeted us as we drove in and showed us our sight. The site was flat and nice and big. It's a quiet campground which is what we loved. Central location and access to the local ATV trails.ownees are super people and very helpful. We will definitely come back again. Ownerandcentral location for hitting the trails.
Sep 16, 2022 · Deb CWe will not be back. Though the campground is located near some great ATV trails, there are others just as convenient without owners that are overbearing and over opinionated. The husband should control his alcohol consumption and temper before he runs off all of his patrons. He is a little too old to be fighting but almost received a beating from our campground neighbor who he antagonized one too many times. It was a stressful stay at this campground. Thankfully we spent most of our time on the trails. 1 star for location.
