Far Hills Mobile Park Introduce
Are you a Californian considering a change in your living situation, perhaps seeking a more affordable homeownership option or a community-focused environment in the East Bay? Far Hills Mobile Park, located in Bay Point, California, offers a distinct opportunity for individuals and families looking for manufactured home living. This article aims to provide a clear, engaging, and factual overview of Far Hills Mobile Park, detailing its location, the services it provides, its key features, and why it might be a suitable choice for locals in the Contra Costa County area. In the competitive California housing market, mobile home parks, often referred to as manufactured home communities, represent a significant alternative to traditional housing. They can offer a more attainable entry point into homeownership while fostering a sense of belonging among residents.
For many residents across California, the dream of owning a home can seem increasingly distant. Mobile home parks like Far Hills Mobile Park provide a viable pathway, allowing individuals to own their dwelling while leasing the land it occupies. This model often results in lower overall housing costs compared to purchasing a stick-built home. Beyond the financial advantages, these communities often cultivate a unique social fabric, encouraging neighborly interactions and a supportive atmosphere. Understanding the nature of a mobile home park – a community designed for permanent or long-term residency in manufactured homes – is key to appreciating the benefits and lifestyle it can offer to those seeking a place to call home in the East Bay.
Far Hills Mobile Park is strategically located at 247 Bailey Rd, Bay Point, CA 94565, USA. Bay Point is an unincorporated community in Contra Costa County, California, situated in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. While often associated with its larger neighbor Pittsburg, Bay Point itself offers a unique blend of residential living with access to the wider metropolitan area. Its location provides residents with a balance of local amenities and convenient connectivity to major employment centers, shopping districts, and recreational opportunities throughout the East Bay and beyond.
The accessibility of Far Hills Mobile Park is a notable advantage, as highlighted by a resident review that mentions being "Within walking distance of shopping, banking, fast foods, and BART!" This direct proximity to essential services and public transportation significantly enhances the convenience for residents. Bailey Road provides straightforward access to Highway 4, a major thoroughfare connecting Bay Point to other East Bay cities like Pittsburg, Antioch, and Concord, and further on to larger cities like Oakland and San Francisco. Critically, the walking distance to BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) is a major draw for commuters. The Pittsburg/Bay Point BART station provides direct train service to downtown San Francisco, Oakland, and other key destinations, offering an efficient and eco-friendly commuting option. This excellent connectivity, combined with the presence of local shops and services within walking distance, makes Far Hills Mobile Park a highly accessible and convenient choice for those seeking to live in the East Bay without being fully dependent on a car.
As a residential mobile home park, Far Hills Mobile Park would typically provide a suite of essential services designed to support long-term, comfortable living for its residents. While specific details should always be confirmed with the park management, common services offered in California mobile home parks include:
- Lot Leasing: Residents typically own their manufactured homes but lease the specific lot or space within the park. This lease usually includes access to the park's common facilities and general upkeep.
- Utility Hookups: Individual home sites are generally equipped with connections for essential utilities such as electricity, water, and sewer. Residents are typically responsible for setting up their individual accounts with utility providers.
- Community Management: Professional management, whether on-site or off-site, oversees the daily operations of the park. This includes enforcing community rules, addressing resident concerns, and ensuring the maintenance of common areas.
- Waste Management: Services for trash collection and often recycling are typically provided for residents within the park.
- Common Area Maintenance: The park management is usually responsible for maintaining shared infrastructure such as internal roads, lighting, landscaping in communal areas, and any shared facilities.
Far Hills Mobile Park, like any community, has a combination of features and experiences that shape resident perceptions. One of the significant highlights, directly mentioned by a positive customer review, is its excellent walkability to daily necessities: "&Within walking distance of shopping, banking, fast foods, and BART! Great neighborhood!" This direct access to amenities like grocery stores, banks, various dining options, and especially public transit like BART, is an incredibly valuable feature for residents in the Bay Area. It signifies a high level of convenience, potentially reducing the reliance on personal vehicles for daily errands and commuting, which is a major benefit in California's often congested urban and suburban areas. The mention of a "Great neighborhood!" further emphasizes a positive local environment outside the park itself, adding to the overall appeal.
However, it's also crucial to present a balanced perspective, as another review highlights significant concerns regarding management: "Far Hills Mobile Park management staff has been dishonest with the families living here. I am one of them who has experienced rude and dishonest behavior. Our unit during our time when family was grieving when one passed away. Management turned off our water because they wanted us out of our own property. We had to call a 3rd party to call management to turn it back on. This place we are not satisfied with the management and staff. The majority of the neighbors are Latinos." This feedback points to potential challenges with park management and resident relations, suggesting that prospective residents should conduct thorough due diligence, including perhaps speaking with current residents, to understand the management style and community dynamics fully. While the issue of water being turned off is a serious accusation, the mention that "the majority of the neighbors are Latinos" is a factual observation about the community's demographic composition, which for some, could be a highlight of cultural familiarity and community support. The contrast in reviews suggests that while the location and external amenities are highly favorable, the internal management practices are a critical factor to investigate for any potential resident.
For individuals interested in learning more about Far Hills Mobile Park, including current availability, specific lot lease terms, or to address any inquiries, direct contact with the park management is the most advisable step. You can reach them using the following information:

This allows prospective residents to experience the park's atmosphere firsthand, assess its proximity to the mentioned amenities, and have a direct conversation with management regarding any concerns, particularly those raised in public reviews, and to understand the full scope of their policies and community guidelines.
Far Hills Mobile Park offers a compelling and uniquely positioned housing option for locals in California, particularly within the East Bay region. Its most significant advantage lies in its exceptional location in Bay Point, which provides residents with convenient walking access to vital daily amenities such as shopping, banking, and fast-food establishments. More critically, its proximity to the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART station offers an invaluable public transportation link to major employment hubs and cultural centers across the entire Bay Area, a significant benefit in a region known for its traffic congestion.
While some feedback indicates potential challenges with park management, which prospective residents should thoroughly investigate, the strong positive aspect of its location and accessibility remains a powerful draw. For Californians seeking a more affordable homeownership alternative within the high-demand Bay Area, Far Hills Mobile Park offers a practical solution. The opportunity to own a manufactured home, coupled with the convenience of urban amenities and excellent public transit within walking distance, presents a unique value proposition. It’s a community that, despite any internal operational concerns, provides a strategic base for East Bay residents looking for accessible and community-oriented living, enabling them to enjoy the vibrancy of California life with greater ease and affordability.
