Desert Vista RV Resort (55+) Introduce
Welcome to Desert Vista RV Resort, a dedicated 55+ community nestled in Mesa, Arizona, designed for active adults seeking a tranquil and well-maintained environment for their RV or manufactured home. This resort aims to provide a peaceful and respectful atmosphere, distinguishing itself from larger, more boisterous parks. If you're an Arizonan looking for a quiet retreat that prioritizes a serene living experience, Desert Vista RV Resort offers a unique option in the East Valley.
Reviews from residents offer a nuanced perspective on Desert Vista RV Resort. Many praise the park for being "well maintained, clean, quiet, small RV resort." They appreciate that "sites are farther apart than a normal large RV park where everyone’s next to each other like sardines," and that "all the pads are concrete and they’re very close to being perfectly level." The fact that it's a "55+ so everyone is quiet and respectful" is a significant highlight for those seeking peace.
However, it's crucial for prospective residents, especially those with dogs, to be aware of a very specific and controversial pet policy. One review emphatically states, "DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE A DOG!!!! We are staying here with a dog and after a full week of being here have just been told that DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO POTTIE AT THE SITE!!! You have to walk them a block away whether it’s 6:00 a.m. or 1:00 a.m. This ridiculous policy needs to be put on their web site and every reserving customer should be given the heads up on the phone!!!" This feedback indicates a significant discrepancy between typical pet-friendly designations and the actual implementation of rules, leading to considerable frustration for dog owners. It is important to note that other sources do list the park as "pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees)," so verifying this policy directly and in detail is absolutely essential before booking.
Additionally, another review warns, "WHOA! Just talked to some of the neighbors, and we’re hearing about how horrible the management is here, and all of the things they’ve done to force people to leave. Beware!" While this is a general comment and not specific to daily operational issues, it does suggest some resident concerns about management. Despite these points, the park is noted for having a "very large" and "easily accessible" dog park, which, for those willing to adhere to the strict potting policy, could be a positive feature.
At Desert Vista RV Resort, the intention is to provide a meticulously maintained environment conducive to quiet enjoyment and relaxation. While the stringent pet policy may not suit all, the overall quiet atmosphere and well-spaced, level sites are highly valued by many residents seeking a peaceful Arizona stay. We recommend contacting the resort directly to clarify all current policies, especially concerning pets, to ensure it aligns with your expectations.

We have pre-paid for a week, and I imagine they will steal that deposit from us before letting us out of this ridiculous bait and switch they’ve manufactured. Have you ever heard of anything so insane?!!!WHOA! Just talked to some of the neighbors, and we’re hearing about how horrible the management is here, and all of the things they’ve done to force people to leave. Beware!
Mar 18, 2025 · Antheia MWell maintained, clean, quiet, small RV resort. Many sites are permanent residents in small manufactured homes with the rest either class A or 5th wheel. Few sites are left for weekend sojourner.Site are farther apart than a normal large RV park where everyone’s next to each other like sardines. All the pads are concrete and they’re very close to being perfectly level. All the electrical hook ups are 50 amp so if you were a 30 amp connection, bring your adapter. Water connections, and sewer connections were very well designed. The RV resort is 55+ so everyone is quiet and respectful. Outside the park the streets are heavily travel so you hear street noise as well as air traffic such as helicopters. Typical RV park noise but the late night traffic noise diminishes, we able to get to sleep both nights of our stay.Nice small pool and jacuzzi and clean bathrooms but I did not find showers. The dog park is very large compared to other RV resorts and is easily accessible. The surface is all small rocks5 different recycling bins!Stay here if you want peace and quiet and your family is quiet as well!
Dec 31, 2024 · Greg BeroldiI brought my 5th wheel here. It's not a hotel. Management is great.
Jun 25, 2025 · Dan SlavenQuaint and clean RV park 55 or older. Management seems very reasonable to work with.Quick update park has new owners so there's different management here The price is still very reasonable for the amenities you get. I still really love this RV park and the people who run it. Highly recommend
Jun 16, 2025 · Michael EllisLived there for 9 months on a prepaid 12 month lease management, plays favorites, rules only apply to those she likes. Maintenance guy and wife are in everybody's business, personal as well. Would not live there for free. A lot of tenants have left never to return. Like I said lived there 9 months left even though I had 3 months left. DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE EVEN IF IT'S TEMPORARY
