The Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds RV Park is located at 19201 Bagley Rd, Middleburg Heights, OH 44130, USA. Its address places it squarely in a suburban setting that offers an incredible advantage: unparalleled accessibility to the heart of Cleveland and its numerous attractions. It's conveniently situated within one mile of Interstate 71, a major north-south artery, and within two miles of the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/I-90), making it incredibly easy to reach from virtually anywhere in Ohio or surrounding states.
For Ohio residents, this means a short and stress-free drive to your temporary home-on-wheels. From Columbus, it's roughly a two-hour drive, while from Toledo, it's about an hour and a half. Even from Cincinnati, the drive is manageable for a weekend getaway. The proximity to major highways ensures that you spend less time navigating complex routes and more time enjoying your stay. Furthermore, the park's location in Middleburg Heights means you're not isolated. Essential infrastructure such as grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, and other services are readily available within a short drive. For those looking to explore Cleveland without driving their RV, a Metro stop is conveniently located just about 10 minutes away, providing an excellent public transportation option to reach downtown attractions like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, West Side Market, and the numerous museums and entertainment venues. - Full Hookup RV Sites: All sites offer full hookups, including 50-amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections. This is a significant convenience, especially for modern RVs.
- Electric (30 and 50 amp): Campers can choose between 30 and 50 amp electric hookups, catering to a wide range of RV power needs.
- Water Hookups: Fresh water connections are available at each site.
- Sewer Hookups: On-site sewer connections eliminate the need for frequent trips to a dump station, enhancing convenience for longer stays.
- Pet-Friendly: Pets are welcome at the RV park, provided they are kept on a leash and under control, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them.
- On-Site Payment and Permit: Payment can be made at the Fairboard Office during specific hours (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 AM to 3 PM), or through a secure drop box for cash/checks after hours. Credit card payments can also be made over the phone. A permit is issued to display in your RV window.
- Garbage Disposal: Conveniently located garbage receptacles are available for waste disposal, with pick-up on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
- Short-Term Park Policy: The park is primarily for short-term stays, and permanent fixture installations are prohibited, ensuring its nature as a temporary stopover.
While a basic, no-frills RV park, Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds RV Park offers several key features and highlights that make it a practical choice for many travelers.
- Strategic Location: As highlighted, its proximity to I-71 and the Ohio Turnpike is a major draw, making it an excellent overnight stop or a base for exploring Cleveland.
- Fairground Access: Being on the fairgrounds property means direct access to any non-fair events being held there, potentially offering unique entertainment opportunities. (Note: Camping is generally limited to fair participants during the annual Cuyahoga County Fair and closed the weeks before and after for clean-up.)
- Quiet Atmosphere: Despite its urban accessibility, the park is generally described as quiet, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep.
- Level Sites: The sites are typically level, making it easy to set up your RV. While some reviews mention grassy or gravel areas, the flat terrain is a consistent positive.
- Cost-Effective: Compared to private RV resorts with extensive amenities, the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds RV Park generally offers a more economical option for full hookups in the Cleveland area.
- Proximity to Public Transportation: The nearby Metro stop is a significant advantage for those who prefer to leave their RV parked and explore Cleveland's downtown attractions via public transit.
- Easy Access to Local Amenities: The surrounding area provides all the necessary services, including grocery stores, restaurants, and fuel, within a short drive.
- Pet-Friendly Environment: Being able to bring your pets along is a major plus for many RVers, and the fairgrounds offer open spaces for walks (with responsible pet ownership).
Specific, ongoing "promotions or special offers" for the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds RV Park are not regularly advertised in the same way a commercial campground might. The pricing is straightforward: $35 per night or $210 per week. However, due to its nature as a fairgrounds facility, the primary "special offer" is its sheer affordability and convenience, especially for full hookups, compared to other options in the Greater Cleveland area.
It is crucial to note the seasonal operational schedule. The park is typically open from mid-April through July, and then again from mid-August through October. The campground is closed during the annual Cuyahoga County Fair (usually in early August) and the weeks immediately preceding and following for setup and cleanup. This closure for the fair itself means that general public camping is not available during these specific periods, and reservations for fair participants are handled separately. It's always best for prospective campers to confirm the exact operating dates and any specific policies for long-term stays directly with the fairgrounds office, as availability can change, especially around fair season.

Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds RV Park Reviews
Location is everything! Easy drive to anywhere in Cleveland, metro stop 10 minutes away. Full hookups, not much else. Hard to get a hold of anyone, since the office is only open a few times a week. But overall good value. Double check that your spot has all utilities and that they're working before parking.
Jul 03, 2022 · Ania HornbergerI needed to stay a few months for work I was told I would have to leave early August which was fine. However they changed the date to July 31, I was told I could move to a 50amp spot with no water or septic which was ok. However when I called close to the date of July 31 I was told that was never promised and i would have to move. I had to call off work and rearrange my plans, and leave.
