Crystal Canal RV provides essential services designed to make your RV stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The focus is on providing reliable hookups and direct water access, catering to the needs of RVers who prioritize functionality and outdoor activities.
- Full Hookups: Every site at Crystal Canal RV is equipped with comprehensive full hookups, including 50 amp electric service, ensuring ample power for all your RV needs. You'll also find good water pressure and sewer connections, making for a hassle-free setup and stay.
- Gravel and Grass Sites: The RV sites feature a combination of gravel and grass, providing a stable surface for your rig while retaining a natural, earthy feel. This blend allows for comfortable parking and outdoor living.
- Concrete Sidewalk Around the Canal: A key feature for waterfront enjoyment is the concrete sidewalk that runs along the canal. This provides easy and safe access for strolling, relaxing, or, most importantly, fishing directly from the park's edge.
- Private Boat Ramp: For those who bring their boats, Crystal Canal RV boasts its own private boat ramp. This exclusive access allows for convenient launching and retrieval, though it's important to note that during low tide, the canal entrance can be shallow, potentially less than 1 foot deep. Boaters should plan accordingly.
- Accommodating Management: Leon, who runs the park, is highly praised for his understanding and flexibility, particularly for full-time RVers who may have more than one vehicle. His excellent communication skills ensure a smooth experience with reservations and any assistance needed during your stay.
Crystal Canal RV distinguishes itself with several features and highlights that make it a compelling choice for RVers in Texas:
- Direct Canal Access and Fishing: One of the most significant highlights is the ability to fish directly from the back of your camper or from the concrete sidewalk around the canal. Guests have reported catching numerous fish, making it an angler's paradise. This direct water access is a major draw for those who love the sport.
- Private Boat Ramp: The convenience of having a private boat ramp on-site cannot be overstated for boating enthusiasts. While monitoring low tide conditions is advisable, this feature offers unparalleled access to the water.
- Spacious Sites: While it's a smaller park, the sites at Crystal Canal RV are noted to be larger than most on the island. This provides more personal space, preventing that "someone on top of me" feeling often found in more crowded RV parks.
- Peaceful Atmosphere: Despite being on the Intracoastal Waterway with barge traffic, the park is described as quiet, with no audible highway noise. This ensures a relaxing environment where you can truly unwind.
- Flexible and Understanding Management: Leon's approach to management is a definite highlight. His willingness to accommodate full-time RVers with multiple vehicles and his excellent communication via phone and text create a welcoming and stress-free environment for guests.
- Proximity to Local Amenities: The park's location is praised for being "close to everything you might need," including stores, restaurants, and other local conveniences in Crystal Beach, making daily errands easy.
- Value for Money: Guests appreciate the value offered, noting that they are willing to pay a bit more to stay right on the water and enjoy the added space and amenities compared to other options.

Crystal Canal RV Reviews
Gravel and grass sites, concrete sidewalk around the canal, 50 amp services, good water pressure. They have their own private boat ramp. During low tide, the canal entrance is lower than 1 foot deep. Leon runs the park and is very understanding of full-time rv'ers having more than 1 vehicle. The sites aren't huge but are larger than most on the island. I'll pay a bit more to stay right on the water and not have someone on top of me. Fishing from the back of my camper, we caught numerous fish. Awesome place to stay and close to everything you might need.
Jan 23, 2024 · Marshall MounceSmall RV park. Not a resort as the name indicates. Unsure if there are actual rooms or RVs to rent here. 9 sites on the intercoastal. Leon is great at communicating with reservations and assistance. Barge traffic is right outside your door, but I can't hear the highway from here.
Mar 03, 2024 · Anne McDougallEaster weekend 2021 we had a great site and enjoyed our visit. We booked April 5th for a stay during the Memorial weekend and received a phone call yesterday (5.20.2021) that the site we reserved was not available because the folks currently renting the site are going to stay for a month due to be displaced from the current rains. I feel for these folks however Leon tried to place us at a site down the road that has no fishing, no concrete and looks a mess. Rent for this site#4 is $690 a month & you are backup to the intercoastal canal. So we where only booking for 4 days almost 2 months in advance. Shame on you Leon for not honoring your commitment.
May 21, 2021 · Brenda WymanOur second stay and my wife and I really enjoy staying here. The crab fishing was awesome. Management was accommodating and friendly. It was fun watching Barges go up and down the water way.
Apr 20, 2017 · Matt DavisNice quiet place right on the intercoastal. Good fishing. Barges and boats fun to watch. No Wi-Fi but get TV channels with regular antenna. Spaces aren't real huge but big enough to give you space. We are in a 40ft Motorhome towing a Jeep and have plenty to space . Each site has a picnic table, on a cement slab. Stayed 2 weeks including Easter Sunday, was not full.
