Understanding the specific nature of an RV park is crucial when making a decision about where to stay, especially for locals who are familiar with the diverse offerings across Texas. Cedar Hollow RV Park seems to focus on providing basic utility hookups without an extensive array of resort-style amenities. This straightforward approach can appeal to those who prioritize affordability and a no-frills environment. While some aspects of visitor experience can be subjective and vary between individuals, this article aims to provide a factual overview of Cedar Hollow RV Park, based on publicly available information and common expectations for RV facilities. We'll explore its location, the services it offers, and what makes it a relevant option for Texans considering an RV stay in the Weatherford community.
Cedar Hollow RV Park is located at 177 McFarland Ln, Weatherford, TX 76088, USA. Weatherford, often referred to as the "Peach Capital of Texas," is a vibrant city situated west of Fort Worth in Parker County. This location offers significant advantages for Texans due to its accessibility. It's close enough to the major metropolitan area of Fort Worth for easy commutes and access to urban amenities, yet far enough to maintain a more relaxed, small-town atmosphere.
The park's address on McFarland Lane suggests a setting that balances being somewhat removed from the immediate hustle of main thoroughfares while remaining easily reachable. For Texans traveling from various parts of the state, Weatherford's position just off Interstate 20 provides straightforward navigation to the RV park. This ease of access is crucial for RVers, allowing for less stressful arrivals and departures. Within Weatherford itself, residents and visitors have access to a variety of services, including grocery stores, dining establishments, retail outlets, and medical facilities, ensuring that all daily needs can be met conveniently. The location offers a practical base for those working in the area or simply enjoying the local attractions of Parker County and beyond.
Based on typical offerings for RV parks focusing on extended stays and information commonly associated with such facilities, Cedar Hollow RV Park is expected to provide essential services for RVers:
- Full RV Hookups: Sites are generally equipped with water, electricity (typically 30 and 50 amp service to accommodate various RV types), and sewer connections. This is a standard and critical amenity for comfortable RV living, especially for long-term residents.
- Individual Electric Meters: For monthly renters, it's common for electricity to be metered separately and added to the base rent. This provides transparency for utility usage.
- Pet-Friendly: Many RV parks in Texas are pet-friendly, allowing residents to live with their companion animals, though specific rules and restrictions may apply.
Based on customer reviews, it is important to note that certain amenities commonly found at other RV parks, such as public bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and Wi-Fi, are reportedly not available at Cedar Hollow RV Park. Potential residents or visitors should be prepared to be fully self-contained or seek these services off-site. The park appears to focus on providing the fundamental hookups for RVs.
Cedar Hollow RV Park's features and highlights primarily revolve around its core function as a place for RV parking with essential utilities.
- Long-Term Stay Focus: The park appears to cater significantly to long-term renters, as indicated by reviews from individuals who have resided there for extended periods. This suggests a community oriented towards stable, ongoing occupancy rather than transient overnight stays.
- Covered Sites Available: The mention of covered sites, while costing more ($600 per month plus electric, according to one review), can be a significant advantage in the Texas climate, offering protection from sun and hail.
- Essential Hookups: The provision of water, electricity, and sewer hookups at each site is a foundational highlight, ensuring that residents have the necessary utilities for their RV.
- No RV Age Requirement: The reported absence of an RV age requirement means a wider variety of RVs can potentially be accommodated, which can be a draw for some individuals.
- Location for Weatherford Area Access: Being situated in Weatherford provides convenient access to local employment, services, and attractions within the city and surrounding Parker County.
It is important to acknowledge that customer reviews mention some challenging aspects regarding features and conditions. These include the reported absence of community amenities like bathrooms, laundry, or Wi-Fi, and concerns about site materials (rocks instead of gravel potentially damaging tires). Additionally, there have been mentions of older RVs on-site and issues with owner interaction and deposit returns. Prospective residents should consider these points when evaluating if the park's offerings align with their expectations.

For locals in the Fort Worth-Weatherford area, or those looking for an extended stay in this part of Texas, its geographical location offers a practical advantage, reducing travel time to and from work or local family. If your primary requirement is simply a spot with full utility hookups for your self-contained RV, and you do not require on-site communal facilities such as restrooms, showers, or laundry, then the park provides these basic necessities.
It appears to cater to a clientele that is largely self-sufficient and seeking a long-term parking solution. The reported absence of an RV age limit could also be a relevant factor for some owners of older rigs who may find it challenging to secure spots in parks with stricter age restrictions. By aligning expectations with the park's apparent focus on core utility provision for extended stays, some Texans may find Cedar Hollow RV Park to be a functional and practical solution for their RV parking needs in Weatherford.

Cedar Hollow RV Park Reviews
I've been here over two years never late on rent no noise no issues until today when one of the owners came up to me and almost barked at me to get my car out of the grass (front yard ) where there would be no grass if not for me if would be all rocks and dirt his demeanor is always angry and acts as if he is above us trailer park people and I had a friend (girl) with me when he came up and scolded me for parking there very rudely for the first time . He had no tact no politeness a few minutes after came to my door and threatened me with eviction and told me to move my ass out if I can't follow rules .mind you Ive never had any issues here . I want to make it clear one of the owners is very personable and easy to get along with but the other one like I said looks down on you tries to talk down to you if you let him so there is a little info for you guys looking to rent here good luck on your search for a park
Feb 24, 2025 · Wade KolbWhy do the owners of Cedar Hollow RV Park pretend to be customers writing reviews on their own RV Park? I'll never understand that. We lived at Cedar Hollow for a month. Some of our neighbors teenagers thought it would be funny to bang on our RV door (and dent it) and run away at 2:00 AM. There are no bathrooms, no laundry, no WiFi, no anything. We rented a covered Site for $600 per month, plus electric. That's a lot of money for no amenities. We only talked to Jeremy on the phone. We actually met Bryce. He had to drive to the RV Park to install electricity meters in order for us to get electricity to our RV. We spent our first night in the dark. When he finally showed up, he acted like he was being bothered to turn on the electric. (Don't rent the Site if it's not ready to rent). They asked us to pay in cash, including the deposit. When we left, they didn't return our deposit. One of the tenants (old man who mows for the owners) told us that the owners don't like to come to their park. The owners used rocks, instead of gravel for the Sites, and the rocks cut your tires. Just drive through the park and you'll see some of the oldest, nastiest RV's ever. There is no RV age requirement. The owners also own Pecan Hollow RV Park in Weatherford Texas. Just drive through that park, and you'll see the same thing. When business owners ask you for cash and don't give you a receipt, they're usually not reporting the revenue to the IRS or Texas. Our advice...... steer clear of these 2 places. I don't know if God will have mercy on their souls. Romans 13:6-7 says to pay your taxes.
Jan 01, 2022 · Carolyn Jay WhitbeckIt's a long term living park. Small quite. Has trees. No amenities just outside of weatherford .
Feb 01, 2025 · Jennifer MauriceThis park actually has a daily rate as well as weekly & monthly (that's pretty cool). It's in the country so it's nice and quiet. Peaceful. The employees are cool & get stuff done and we get free wifi. I can play my games and watch my movies will no skips or 'buffering', 'loading' or slow connection. And the view of the Texas sky is freaking awesome too!!! The colors during sunset are different every night and it's just soooo big and breath taking.
