Cedar Grove Mobile Home Park is located at 961 GA-11, Social Circle, GA 30025, USA. This address places it along Georgia State Route 11, a state highway that runs through various counties in Georgia, connecting communities and offering relatively straightforward access. Social Circle itself is a small city primarily in Walton County, with portions extending into Newton and Morgan counties. It is known for its historic downtown, a slower pace of life, and its proximity to larger population centers in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
The park's location on GA-11 means residents have direct road access, making commutes to nearby towns or essential services relatively convenient. Social Circle offers basic amenities such as local shops, restaurants, and schools. Larger cities like Covington (Newton County) and Monroe (Walton County) are within a reasonable driving distance, providing more extensive shopping, dining, medical facilities, and employment opportunities. Atlanta, the major metropolitan hub of Georgia, is further west, accessible via Interstate 20, which would require a drive from Social Circle.
For residents, this location offers a blend of rural charm and accessibility to necessary services. The "Car-Dependent" walk score near Cedar Grove (as noted on real estate listings) confirms that most errands and activities will require a vehicle, which is typical for mobile home parks in more rural or semi-rural areas of Georgia. Nearby points of interest mentioned in external listings include Social Circle Ace Hardware, Social Circle High School, and local businesses, suggesting that daily needs can largely be met within the immediate vicinity or a short drive.
The appeal of living in Social Circle for many Georgians is its quieter environment away from the direct hustle and bustle of major urban centers, while still maintaining reasonable connectivity. Cedar Grove Mobile Home Park's placement along a state highway contributes to this balance, offering a rural address with practical access for residents.
Based on the provided information, the services offered by Cedar Grove Mobile Home Park appear to be primarily focused on lot rentals and, at times, the sale of mobile homes within the park. However, the customer reviews raise significant concerns about the quality and reliability of these services, particularly regarding management and sales practices. Here's what can be inferred about the services:
- Lot Rentals: The core service of a mobile home park is typically the rental of individual lots or pads where residents can place their manufactured or mobile homes. It is implied that Cedar Grove offers this service, as it is a mobile home park. Rent is charged for these lots.
- Mobile Home Sales (with noted issues): The park appears to facilitate the sale of homes within its premises. One review explicitly states, "She was trying to sell a trailer in the park for $10000.00." This indicates that selling homes (likely existing units or repossessed ones) is a service offered or attempted by the park management. However, the review strongly critiques the value proposition, calling the trailer "not worth a nickel" and alleging dishonesty in the sales process ("the lady that runs the park is a lier").
- Management/Tenant Relations (with significant negative feedback): While good management is a vital service, the reviews suggest significant issues in this area. Complaints include:
- Lack of transparency/dishonesty: "The lady that runs the park is a lier she says she will hold a trailer for you but in reality is if someone comes in with the money you lose the trailer."
- Poor communication/accessibility: "barely able to get in touch with the manager."
- High Rent Concerns: "Wants to much for rent." This implies a service of rent collection, but with tenant dissatisfaction regarding the pricing.
- Safety Concerns: "also has someone setting traps in the park when there are kids around." This raises very serious concerns about resident safety within the park environment.
- Basic Utilities (Implied): While not directly stated, mobile home parks typically provide connections for utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity to each lot. Residents are generally responsible for setting up accounts with utility providers and paying for their consumption. The park manages the infrastructure for these connections.
- Grounds Maintenance (Implied): Standard mobile home parks usually manage common areas, roads, and perhaps some landscaping within the park. The condition of individual lots and homes is typically the responsibility of the resident.
Given the nature of the provided reviews, it is critical for prospective residents to conduct thorough due diligence, including verifying any promises made, inspecting any homes for sale independently, and clarifying all terms and conditions of lot rental agreements directly with the management.
Based on the very limited positive information and significant negative feedback from customer reviews, the "features" and "highlights" of Cedar Grove Mobile Home Park are unfortunately characterized more by concerns than by appealing attributes. However, we will present what can be inferred as objective features, alongside the reported issues, to provide a complete picture for Georgia locals:
- Location in Social Circle, GA:
- Rural/Small-Town Setting: For those seeking a quieter life away from dense urban areas, Social Circle offers a more laid-back, community-focused environment.
- Access to GA-11: Its placement on a state highway provides relatively easy road access for commutes and travel to nearby towns like Covington or Monroe for services.
- Proximity to Local Amenities: Within Social Circle, residents have access to basic needs, including local schools (Social Circle High School, Elementary), and some local businesses.
- Nearby Natural Areas: The broader area offers access to natural spaces like Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center (14 min drive) and Hard Labor Creek State Park (18 min drive), which are appealing features for outdoor enthusiasts.
- Potential Affordability: Mobile home parks, in general, are often sought out for offering a more affordable housing option compared to traditional homes, either through lower purchase prices for manufactured homes or more budget-friendly lot rents. While one review explicitly states "Wants to much for rent," this might be subjective or refer to a specific situation, and the general market segment suggests an aim for affordability.
- Availability of Mobile Homes (with caveats): The park actively has mobile homes for sale within its premises. This can be a feature for individuals looking to purchase a home and rent a lot in one go. However, as noted in reviews, the condition and pricing of these homes require extremely careful independent assessment ("it wasn't worth a nickel," "total Tear Down trailer").
- Community Environment (Controversial): A mobile home park aims to foster a community. While the reviews highlight significant interpersonal and management issues, theoretically, the structure allows for community living. However, the severe negative feedback about disrespect, harassment, and even safety concerns (traps near kids) paints a grim picture of the current community environment.
It is evident that the reported negative "features" of poor management practices, alleged dishonesty in sales, high rent concerns, and safety issues significantly overshadow any potential positives of location or general affordability. Prospective residents should approach this park with extreme caution and conduct extensive personal investigation.
For individuals in Georgia considering Cedar Grove Mobile Home Park, or for any inquiries regarding lot rentals, available mobile homes, or to clarify any park policies, the following contact information is provided:
- Address: 961 GA-11, Social Circle, GA 30025, USA
- Phone: (770) 784-1493
- Mobile Phone: +1 770-784-1493
Given the serious concerns raised in customer reviews regarding management's communication, honesty, and conduct, it is exceptionally important for prospective residents to approach any contact with extreme caution and diligence. It is highly recommended to:
- Verify all information directly.
- Get all agreements and terms in writing before committing to anything.
- Independently inspect any mobile home for sale, ideally with a qualified professional.
- Speak to current residents (if possible and appropriate) to gauge their experiences firsthand.
- Clarify all fees, rent increases, and maintenance responsibilities in detail.
These proactive steps are crucial to ensure clarity and protect your interests, especially in light of the significant negative feedback concerning management transparency and integrity.
For Georgia residents seeking a mobile home park, the suitability of Cedar Grove Mobile Home Park in Social Circle, GA, is highly questionable based on the provided customer reviews. While its location offers a quiet, rural setting with reasonable access to amenities in Social Circle and surrounding areas, the overwhelming negative feedback regarding management practices paints a concerning picture for potential residents.
From a purely geographical standpoint, its placement on GA-11 provides accessibility for commuting and errands, and the charm of Social Circle offers a slower pace of life compared to larger metropolitan areas. For those who prioritize a location away from urban density and appreciate proximity to Georgia's natural attractions like the Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center and Hard Labor Creek State Park, the address itself might seem appealing.
However, the core aspects of what makes a mobile home park a suitable living environment – reliable management, transparent dealings, and resident safety – are severely undermined by the customer reviews. Allegations of management dishonesty ("a lier," "harassed," "refused to give me a refund"), difficulty in communication ("barely able to get in touch with the manager"), concerns about unreasonable pricing ("Wants to much for rent," "trailer... wasn't worth a nickel"), and gravely serious safety concerns ("setting traps in the park when there are kids around") are critical red flags for any prospective resident.
For local Georgians, the decision to choose a mobile home park often hinges on finding an affordable, stable, and welcoming community. The reviews suggest that Cedar Grove Mobile Home Park may fall far short of these fundamental expectations. The extreme negativity, including a report of being "banned" and advised to "dispute the chargers," indicates an environment that could be hostile and financially risky for residents.
Therefore, while the concept of affordable housing in a quieter part of Georgia might be attractive, Cedar Grove Mobile Home Park, as depicted by current public reviews, appears to be an unsuitable option for most Georgia locals seeking a stable and respectful living arrangement. Prospective residents are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution, conduct extensive due diligence beyond simply contacting the park, and consider all alternative housing options in the Social Circle area or neighboring communities to ensure a safe and positive living experience.

Cedar Grove Mobile Home Park Reviews
The lady that runs the park is a lier she says she will hold a trailer for you but in reality is if someone comes in with the money you lose the trailer. She was trying to sell a trailer in the park for $10000.00 in reality it wasn't worth a nickel and she knew it wasn't worth what she was asking that's why the trailer is still sitting there because no one is going to pay that much money for a total Tear Down trailer. I wouldn't recommend this trailer park at all. If I could give it no stars I would.
