Located at 111 Universal Cir, Moyock, NC 27958, USA, it aims to provide a residential setting for individuals and families. When considering any community for your home, it's important to gather as much factual information as possible to make an informed decision that aligns with your living preferences and expectations. Mobile home parks can offer an accessible entry point into homeownership or a practical rental solution, and understanding the realities of a specific community is key.
Carolina Village Mobile Home Community is situated at 111 Universal Cir, Moyock, NC 27958, USA. This location places it in Moyock, a town in Currituck County, North Carolina, known for its proximity to the Virginia border and the coastal region. For North Carolina locals, particularly those in the northeastern part of the state or those commuting to southeastern Virginia, Moyock offers a strategic location. It provides a more rural and potentially quieter living environment compared to the bustling cities of Virginia Beach or Norfolk, while still being within a reasonable driving distance for employment, shopping, and entertainment. Moyock itself has basic services, including local grocery stores and convenience shops, catering to daily needs. The proximity to major roadways facilitates access to larger towns and cities. For example, Virginia Beach is often less than an hour's drive, offering extensive amenities, beaches, and employment opportunities. The Outer Banks of North Carolina are also accessible for day trips, providing a popular coastal escape. While the immediate area around the park is residential, its location in Moyock positions it as a practical choice for those seeking a balance between affordability and regional accessibility.
Based on the provided information and public feedback, the services and conditions at Carolina Village Mobile Home Community appear to be a significant point of discussion among current and former residents. While a comprehensive list of officially advertised services is not available, the reviews highlight certain aspects of living within the community.
- Utility Provision: Residents have indicated issues with the water quality, stating it "can't be drank," despite being charged for it. This suggests that water service is provided to homes, but its quality is a concern.
- Road Maintenance: A consistent complaint revolves around the roads within the park. Residents report "pot holes everywhere" and a lack of follow-through on promises to repave roads over many years, despite rent increases. This indicates that road maintenance, or the lack thereof, is a key aspect of park management.
- Property Maintenance (Trees): There are mentions of "rotten trees on property that management always say that there going to take care of. Are still rotten and not taken care of." This suggests that some level of property maintenance, specifically regarding tree care, is an ongoing issue and a service that residents expect but reportedly do not receive effectively.
- Management Changes: Reviews frequently mention "Shandy Owners change more often than I can count" and new owners putting "new rules together which does not help the tenants at all." This implies that management and ownership of the park provide administrative services, including setting rules and collecting rent, but consistency and resident satisfaction with these services are a concern.
- Rent Collection: It is evident that rent is collected, with residents noting that "rent goes up" every year, and new charges are introduced for "improvement's" that residents claim are not delivered. This points to billing and financial management services.
Based on the provided customer reviews, the features and highlights of Carolina Village Mobile Home Community appear to be significantly influenced by residents' experiences with maintenance and management. While the park is a mobile home community offering lots for homes, the primary highlights from resident perspectives often revolve around dissatisfaction with stated promises versus reality.
- Affordable Housing Concept: Implicitly, as a mobile home park, it offers a form of housing that is often considered more affordable than traditional stick-built homes, which is a general feature of such communities.
- Location in Moyock: Its address in Moyock, North Carolina, provides a geographical feature, offering proximity to the Virginia border and regional amenities.
- Established Community: As an existing mobile home park (implied by long-term resident reviews), it represents an established residential area.
- Reported Lack of Infrastructure Improvement: A recurring theme and a significant "highlight" (though negative from a resident perspective) is the alleged lack of follow-through on promised infrastructure improvements, particularly regarding "pot holes everywhere" and "rotten trees" despite "so many promises of resolution /upgrades every year with no result ever." This suggests that while there might be a vision for improvements, the execution has been a major point of contention.
- Management Instability and Practices: The frequent change in "owners/management" and the perception that "they're just out for a buck" and find "new ways to charge more money" for non-existent "improvement's" are central features shaping the resident experience. This highlights a perceived feature of management practices rather than physical amenities.
- Water Quality Concerns: The specific mention that "The water in house's can't be drank" is a critical reported feature affecting daily living quality.
- Rent Increases Without Visible Improvement: The consistent increase in rent "year after year" without corresponding "improvements" is a key reported characteristic of living in the community, impacting the perceived value for money.

When considering Carolina Village Mobile Home Community, North Carolina locals, particularly those in the Moyock area and its surroundings, should weigh the factual information carefully to determine if it aligns with their housing needs and expectations. As a mobile home community, it fundamentally offers a housing solution in Moyock, a location that provides access to southeastern Virginia's employment centers and North Carolina's coastal attractions. For locals seeking an affordable place to live within this region, mobile home communities often present a viable option. However, based on extensive public reviews, prospective residents should be aware of significant and recurring concerns regarding the park's maintenance and management practices. Reports of "pot holes everywhere," "rotten trees" left unattended, water quality issues (that "can't be drank"), and frequent, seemingly unproductive rent increases are consistently voiced by residents. These indicate a potential disconnect between promises of "improvement's" and actual execution. While the core offering is a space for a mobile home, the overall living experience appears to be heavily impacted by these reported conditions and the perception of "very very poor management." For North Carolinians exploring this community, it is crucial to conduct thorough due diligence beyond initial contact. This includes requesting detailed information on current maintenance schedules, water testing results, and any documented plans for infrastructure upgrades, as well as speaking with current residents if possible. Ultimately, while the community provides a housing location in Moyock, its suitability for locals will depend entirely on individual tolerance for the reported conditions and the ability to verify current improvements or a change in operational approach.

Carolina Village Mobile Home Community Reviews
Pot holes everywhere. Very very poor management. Shandy Owners change more often than I can count. The water in house's can't be drank. I get charged for. Roads were supposed to be repaved but there not. Rotten trees on property that management always say that there going to take care of. Are still rotten and not taken care of. So many promises of resolution /upgrades every year with no result ever. Year after year rent goes up. Every year they find new ways to charge more money. For what is called "improvement's" not 1 Year has management or owners improved anything. Seems like when something is actually going to get done. Contracts get sent out. why rent is increased always for only what I can call now scams, lies, and false statements.I would give a 0 if I could.
May 05, 2024 · Stephen WilliamsThe park was just sold and the new owners have put new rules together which does not help the tenants at all. The rent keeps going up and the promise of the roads are never kept. I was told 12 years ago that the roads were going to be repaved when the rent went up the 1 st time it was to repave the road but it was not done and now we have potholes in every road in here. I would advise you to find a better park.
Sep 01, 2022 · Patricia KimballI bought my mobile home in 2010.When I bought it it was under different management and it was decent. Since then we have a different manager that leaves a lot to be desired. I have been trying to get a simple bulb replaced in the street light across from my trailer I've been trying to get this replaced for almost 4 months with no help at all sent messages to her sent messages to the owner and anybody else I thought might listen but nobody seems to care that this place is turning into a dump.the roads in here are atrocious they have holes big enough to eat your vehicle I have to get a front-end alignment every few months because they're so bad so maybe you might want to consider buying or renting somewhere else for the people really care that run the place and own the place about their tenants. it seems the rent keeps going up but there's no maintenance done or no improvements made.
May 14, 2019 · Patricia KimballUnbelievable went by there today with 10,000.00 in my pocket wanted to buy a mobil home here. There where allot of empty trailers, and the woman in the office long black hair, told me the owner has put a freeze on any one wanting to buy a mobil home (trailer). Unbelievable I do not think the owner of this park would pass up large sum of money and have someone who would fix up there property. But oh well there loss, the place is looking worse and worse, I just do not understand some people.
Oct 12, 2019 · Mitchell DunlowWish I could give it a 0 star. They charge people outrageously for lot rent and line their pockets instead of fixing the streets. The entire neighborhood is covered in potholes and dips in the streets big enough to damage your car. Criminal smfh
