Candlelight Village Mobile Home Park

3.0
Please save your money and go somewhere else. This place was wonderful back then before the owner started to get MONEY HUNGRY. There used to be spaces in between trailers and no there’s not. There’s NO SPACE AT ALL. There’s also no parking for your car. And no privacy. Houses KEEP GETTING BREAK INTO. The neighbors are so loud especially at night… the community pool is always so dirty and never taken care off. Please save your money and don’t live in candlelight village, there’s absolutely no space at all anymore. - Olivia Bowers

For Illinois residents considering various housing options, Candlelight Village Mobile Home Park in Sauk Village presents a unique living alternative. Its suitability for locals depends on individual priorities and a thorough understanding of what the community offers, considering both its benefits and the concerns raised in public feedback.

One key aspect that often makes mobile home parks suitable for locals is their affordability. Manufactured homes can provide a more accessible path to homeownership compared to traditional stick-built houses, which is a significant factor in today's housing market. The stated lot rent of $775/month, which includes trash and property taxes, offers a predictable and potentially lower monthly housing expense for Illinois residents. Furthermore, the availability of "fully remodeled homes with modern updates" means that residents can find comfortable and contemporary living spaces within a more budget-friendly framework.

The park's location in Sauk Village offers a practical balance for residents. It provides a suburban setting while maintaining "quick highway access" to the vast employment, entertainment, and cultural opportunities of downtown Chicago, approximately 29 miles away. This connectivity is crucial for those who work in the city but prefer a quieter home environment. Additionally, its proximity to the Indiana border opens up further regional access. The "Pet-Friendly" policy is another attractive feature for many Illinois households. The presence of on-site management is intended to ensure that the community is professionally maintained and that residents' needs are addressed.

However, it is important for prospective Illinois residents to be aware of the concerns raised in some reviews, specifically regarding the density of homes, perceived lack of privacy, parking availability, noise levels, and the maintenance of the community pool. Visiting the park, speaking with current residents if possible, and directly discussing these points with management would be crucial steps for any interested party to ensure the community aligns with their expectations for a suitable home.

Ultimately, Candlelight Village Mobile Home Park can be a suitable option for Illinois locals who prioritize affordable homeownership, desire convenient access to regional amenities, and are seeking a community with shared recreational spaces. A thorough personal assessment based on a direct visit and comprehensive inquiry will best determine if this community meets individual needs and preferences.
