Butte County Fair RV Park offers essential services designed to accommodate RVers looking for a comfortable stay, whether short-term or extended.
- Full Hookup RV Sites: The park primarily features full hookup spaces, including 30 and 50 amp electric service, water, and sewer connections at each site. This is a significant convenience, allowing RVers to fully utilize their onboard facilities. There are also options for power & water only sites and dry camping spaces for those who prefer more basic accommodations.
- Reasonable Rates: The park is known for its reasonable rates, offering daily, weekly, and monthly options. Daily rates are around $50, weekly rates are $200, and monthly sites are often available, though they are limited and generally for short-term stays only. Electric is typically included in the monthly rate, providing clear cost predictability.
- Restrooms and Showers: Public information confirms that the park provides restrooms and shower facilities. These are essential amenities for campers, offering convenience and comfort.
- Laundromat (Coming Soon/Available): While some older information might suggest a laundromat is "coming soon," more recent details from the Butte County Fair website confirm that laundry facilities are indeed available on-site, a critical amenity for longer stays.
- Access to Swimming Pool (Seasonal): During the summer months, guests often have access to the Gridley Swimming Pool, which is typically open for inexpensive public swimming and located on-site or very nearby. There might be a small per-person fee for pool access (e.g., $2.00/person), offering a great way to cool off during warm California days.

- Convenient Location on Fairgrounds: Being on the fairgrounds offers a unique advantage. While the RV park is closed during the annual Butte County Fair in August, for the rest of the year, it provides a spacious and convenient place to camp. Additionally, the fairgrounds often host other events throughout the year (e.g., livestock shows, musical performances, destruction derbies), allowing RV park residents to enjoy local activities directly on the property.
- Access to the Gridley Swimming Pool: During summer months, access to the public swimming pool is a major highlight, offering a refreshing amenity, particularly in California's warm climate.
- Proximity to Local Attractions: The park serves as a gateway to exploring local gems. Nearby attractions include the Gridley Museum, Lavender Ranch, and the renowned Gray Lodge Wildlife Area, which comes alive with hundreds of thousands of migratory birds from November through February, offering exceptional birding opportunities along the Pacific Flyway. The Feather River is also nearby, known for fishing.
- Welcoming Community and Staff: Despite some isolated negative experiences with fair management (unrelated to the RV park management itself), general reviews for the RV park mention "very nice people and nice RV park" and "friendly and welcoming" park management (e.g., Park Manager Ken and his wife), fostering a positive community feel where "everyone looks out for each other."
