Blackfoot RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Blackfoot RV Park, a wonderfully convenient and ever-improving destination nestled in the heart of East Idaho. For travelers exploring the vast beauty of the Gem State, or those simply needing a restful stopover on the way to major destinations like Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, this RV park offers a reliable and accessible option. Blackfoot, Idaho, itself is known for being the "Potato Capital of the World" and hosts the famed Eastern Idaho State Fair, giving visitors a taste of authentic Idaho culture and history right at their fingertips.
Blackfoot RV Park is continuously working to provide a clean, quiet, and comfortable environment for its guests. Recent renovations and updates have been transforming the space, making it an excellent choice for short-term stays. While it is a relatively new and small park, with around 30 sites available, the focus on essential amenities and a well-maintained atmosphere makes it a functional and friendly choice for many RV enthusiasts, including those traveling with pets.
While some travelers note that the site spaces can be somewhat narrow, the overall maintenance and newness of the facilities are often highlighted as a positive. For those touring East Idaho or traveling through the area, Blackfoot RV Park offers a practical and straightforward solution for your overnight or short-term RV needs.
### Location and Accessibility
Blackfoot RV Park is positioned conveniently within the city of Blackfoot, Idaho, making it easy to access and a great jumping-off point for local exploration. The physical address is 1150 S Broadway St, Blackfoot, ID 83221, USA. Located just a short distance off major routes, the park's spot on South Broadway Street provides excellent accessibility for RVs of all sizes without sacrificing a relatively quiet environment for rest. Its in-town location means you are never far from essential services, dining, and Blackfoot's unique attractions. This is an important consideration for travelers who value the ease of quick re-stocking or a night out after a long day on the road.
The park's proximity to I-15 is also a significant benefit for cross-country travelers, offering minimal detour from a direct route. Furthermore, this area of Idaho places you in a central location for exploring the greater region, including the nearby cities of Idaho Falls and Pocatello, as well as being on a natural corridor toward Idaho’s famed national parks and monuments.
### Services Offered
The park focuses on providing the core services necessary for a comfortable and functional RV stay. While some services are currently limited due to the park’s newness and ongoing development, the available amenities are new and reliable.
- RV camping sites
- RV sewer hookup (available at many sites)
- Water hookups
- Electrical hookups (both 30-amp and 50-amp service are available)
- On-site parking for one’s RV
- Dogs allowed (a great feature for pet owners)
- New and clean bathroom facilities (as noted in customer feedback)
It is important to note that while many sites offer full hookups, some smaller sites may not yet include a sewer connection. However, the presence of new bathroom facilities helps ensure convenience for all guests. The focus on reliable, new connections for water and electricity means you can rest easy knowing your essential RV systems will be operational during your stay.
### Features / Highlights
Despite its smaller size, Blackfoot RV Park offers several features that make it a pleasant stop for visitors to the Blackfoot area. The recent renovation has clearly aimed at improving the overall guest experience, focusing on comfort and pet-friendliness.
- Fenced Dog Park: A standout amenity for those traveling with canine companions. A secure and dedicated space for dogs to exercise is highly valued by RVers.
- Newly Renovated Facilities: The park has undergone a complete renovation, ensuring that the infrastructure and communal areas, like the bathrooms, are modern and very well-maintained.
- Focus on Cleanliness: Customer feedback consistently highlights the park's clean and tidy appearance, suggesting a strong commitment to maintenance from the management.
- Proximity to Local Attractions: The location provides easy access to key Blackfoot sites, including the Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds, the unique Idaho Potato Museum, and downtown dining options.
- Ideal Stopover Location: Situated on a primary travel route, the park serves as an excellent basecamp for day trips to nearby natural wonders like Craters of the Moon National Monument and is a solid overnight stop for longer trips toward Wyoming's famous national parks.
The park is characterized by its new, fully renovated status, moving away from its previous incarnation and transforming into a much-improved, comfortable, and quiet place for short-term RV parking.
### Contact Information
For general inquiries, availability, or to confirm details about a specific site's hookups, here is the direct contact information for Blackfoot RV Park.
- Address: 1150 S Broadway St, Blackfoot, ID 83221, USA
- Phone: (208) 994-9819
Given the nature of the park, and some feedback indicating that there might not be a dedicated on-site office, contacting the park by phone is the recommended method for making reservations or clarifying any specific needs you may have for your visit, especially concerning big-rig requirements or the availability of full sewer hookups at your site.
### What is Worth Choosing
Blackfoot RV Park is a prime choice for travelers who prioritize new, clean, and functional facilities over extensive, resort-style amenities. This park's worth is found in its pragmatic approach to RV hospitality.
For pet owners in Idaho, the dedicated, fenced dog park is a significant value-add that is often hard to find at smaller, in-town locations. This feature alone provides a safe and necessary outlet for your pets during your journey. Furthermore, the newly updated infrastructure ensures that the crucial electrical and water services are modern and dependable—something every RVer knows is essential for a stress-free night.
Its location is another major drawing point. Being right in Blackfoot means you can easily walk or take a very short drive to local restaurants and attractions, offering convenience that roadside parks cannot. Whether you are coming to town for an event at the Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds or just passing through and want to grab a meal at a local spot like Smokin' Gun BBQ or El Mirador, the park’s accessibility is a key benefit.
While the park has been noted as having tight spots for very large RVs, with some larger units needing careful maneuvering, many sites are pull-through and can accommodate big rigs. It is always wise for drivers of larger coaches to call ahead to confirm a truly suitable spot. However, for most standard and mid-sized RVs, the clean, new sites and proximity to everything Blackfoot has to offer make this park a reliable and highly recommended stop on your Idaho adventure. You are choosing a park focused on the essentials of a great RV stay: a clean site, reliable utilities, and a comfortable spot for your furry friends.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The sites were so close that the RV on the side of us had his slide over our side making it very difficult to get in and out of our door. I think this person purposely went a bit too far over our side knowing how tight the spot was giving himself more room. Management should have noticed this and made him move. It really is not a big rig friendly RV park. However the park does appear to be well maintained and the dog park was very nice.
September 30 · Jayne GervaisSmall 30 site New Park with very limited services. The sites are long enough but not very wide. All the services are new and work well but there was no sewer connection at our site.Nice fenced dog park, 2 new bathrooms, didn't see any other facilities, nothing much for nearby restaurants, but grant them that they are new so I would give them some time and another visit to raise my rating. No office so we didn't meet any staff.
May 27 · B o b B rooksThis was our first RV park visit. It was nice, with shade, and fairly quiet. The gal on the phone was very nice and helpful. On the website and over the phone we were told that there were showers and a laundry facility. These turned out to be still under construction, which was a bit of a problem, as we were having shower issues with our RV. We were told that they would be finished by the weekend but we never saw anyone there working on them. We also never actually saw any staff and had to call if we had any questions. The gal was very nice, but seemed to have limited knowledge.
October 09 · C.R. EvansSpaces are way too tight. Also, not worth $63.60 per night for tight so-so accommodations in Blackfoot, ID. Gravel roads and sites. Fairly level. Nice dog park. Did not check out bathrooms, etc. Owner very nice and responsive when contacted about dog problems.
August 27 · Fleming RichardThe Blackfoot River RV Park is just about finished from construction. New 30 & 50 Amp power hook up's, new water and sewer lines. Some of the lots are on the smaller tighter side and some are in the larger side, but really clean and it is the only space around doing monthly contacts of $500 month utilities included for the winter months.Pet Friendly with a fenced dog park going in next week. Showers should be finished next week also. Exciting clean and safe.
