Black Oak RV Park Reviews
Beautiful, quiet, and very well-kept campground! The sites are large with full hookups, and everything felt clean and organized. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved the option of having the pool and the convenience of the small on-site store. Plus, it’s only 1.5 miles from the marina—perfect for boating and fishing. We’ll definitely be back!
Jun 29, 2025 · Hailey PendergrassStayed April 10 - 13, 2025. Overall experience was good. Nice campground, quiet and well kept. Some things to consider:1: There is no shower house.2. Restrooms are only open until 8:00 pm.3. The campground is 98% medium to large size rock. There are very few places for dogs to go to the bathroom. Definitely not dog friendly.4. Wi-Fi is spotty, especially in the lower site areas.5. Sites and drive lanes are asphalt, but not very level. You must use their boards between the asphalt and your equipment.
Apr 14, 2025 · Bill LaymanWe had the best Memorial Day Weekend at Black Oak Rv Park! They have the biggest pool we have ever seen during our travels. Kids loved the basketball court and playground. Enjoyed waking up to the peaceful and gorgeous view every morning. Their store had everything we needed at reasonable prices, so we never even had to leave. Husband and son caught several fish at their lake access. All of the staff was so friendly, we are already planning our next trip back!
May 27, 2025 · Amy HufferdOverall, it’s a clean, quiet place with friendly staff, but a few design choices might make it less comfortable for longer stays—especially if you're traveling with pets. However, there are a few things that would make us hesitant to stay again unless it was just for an overnight stop. The park has no lighting at night, which makes it difficult to navigate after dark. It's also not very dog-friendly—there’s no grassy area, mostly gravel and some mulch, which made walks and potty breaks a challenge. Additionally, the trash bins are located outside the park itself, so you’ll need to drive outside of the park to dispose of your trash. Amenities like the saltwater pool, pickleball courts, and small playground are a nice touch but when it's hot outside, with the blacktop and rock it makes for a long day. There’s also a walking trail through the trees behind the park.
Jul 02, 2025 · Jason CalhounWonderful place to stay. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Kids loved the pool and pickleball courts. Short drive to the lake and the full hooks ups are a nice amenity. Very convenient if you are looking for a place close to black oak amphitheater.
