Mobile home park, RV park ★4.0

4.0
Wow, where do I begin. First of all being right off of hwy 26 is as loud as I’ve ever experienced. All the time. Very dangerous to pull out of and just overall crazy. The issues with the trees cause a lot of power outages thru winter. How the park looks in general is bad. Pat sells the gravel instead of applying it thru the park for tenants to drive thru. Some old couch by the dumpsters for 21/2 years. He refuses to haul it off. Hoarders too and I guess that’s ok. No enforcement with tenants keeping a clean environment. The park manager (Pat Curran) at Bigfoot is a nightmare. He looks the other way with enforcing rules as long as he is paid to do so by tenants. He rips off so many people there its terrible. He body shames women and will video tape you when you’re not paying any attention. He is so creepy idk how he has kept this job. If he tells you he use to be with the CIA, run. He definitely has a problem with respecting women. Always riding his bike in everyone’s business. I have nothing positive to share with the couple years I lived there. There are a lot of mobile home parks to chose from in that area. Nothing beneficial will come of anyone living there. Its awful with current manager Patrick Curran. - Amy Singleton

This community operates as a combined Mobile Home Park and RV Park, offering sites for both permanently placed manufactured homes and temporary or long-term recreational vehicle stays. However, prospective residents must approach this community with an awareness of the significant operational challenges raised in public reviews. While one resident praises the "friendly staff and neighbors" and the "beautiful setting," others express extreme dissatisfaction, primarily focused on the noise level from US-26, the park's general appearance, the perceived lack of rule enforcement regarding cleanliness and hoarding, and serious allegations concerning the past conduct and professionalism of the park manager. Specifically, issues with infrastructure, like gravel application on driveways and frequent power outages due to trees, have been noted. Due to the seriousness of the reported issues regarding safety and managerial conduct, any potential resident should conduct thorough inquiries into the current management structure and the park’s procedures for maintenance, safety, and rule enforcement before making any commitment.

### What is Worth Choosing

The decision to choose Big Foot Mobile Home Park is fundamentally driven by the desire for housing affordability and unbeatable proximity to the Mount Hood recreational area in Oregon. For budget-conscious Oregonians who prioritize immediate access to skiing, hiking, and the natural beauty of the National Forest, this location on US-26 is a significant advantage.

However, the benefits of location and affordability are heavily weighted against the severe, recurring complaints from residents. These issues include the excessive highway noise, persistent problems with power outages due to tree maintenance, the park's general run-down appearance due to lack of enforcement on cleanliness/hoarding, and highly concerning allegations against the former manager regarding professionalism, rule enforcement, and body shaming. The reported difficulty and danger in accessing the highway is also a serious daily concern.

In its current state, Big Foot Mobile Home Park is only worth choosing if the incredible value of the location near Mount Hood and the affordability of the home price outweigh the substantial risks of noise, lack of maintenance, and reported managerial issues. Prospective residents are strongly advised to verify that a new, reputable management company is currently in place and has concrete, funded plans to address the infrastructure issues (trees/power, gravel roads) and enforce community cleanliness rules before considering a move to this otherwise beautifully situated part of Sandy, Oregon.
