Jun 13, 2025 · Laura WineingerWe've been going to the Big Iron Overland Rally held at Big Brutus for 3 years now. Such a great event at a great location. Steeped in rich coal mining history, Big Brutus is the largest electric shovel still in existence from the 60's and 70's. Take the family, and camp at the many RV sites or primitive camp in Big Brutus' shadow. Explore inside and sit in the drivers seat. Love this place!
