Batise Springs RV Park Introduce
For RV travelers making their way through the stunning Southeast Idaho region, or for locals seeking a quiet escape near Pocatello, Batise Springs RV Park offers a unique and highly-rated small-scale camping experience. Tucked away just a short distance from the main interstate, this park provides a welcome respite from the road, focusing on providing essential, clean, and functional amenities in a setting that offers surprising natural beauty.
The park is intentionally designed to be quaint and peaceful, limiting its total capacity to a small number of well-maintained sites. This creates a much quieter atmosphere than large, bustling campgrounds. Many guests choose Batise Springs specifically for its tranquil environment, noting the ability to relax inside their campers without the constant noise and activity often found elsewhere. The location, which overlooks a serene creek and the Portneuf River, even offers the picturesque sight of geese flying overhead, contributing to a sense of being truly off-grid, despite being conveniently close to Pocatello.
Customer reviews frequently highlight the efficiency and cleanliness of the park, even comparing the straightforward, well-kept environment favorably to larger chain campgrounds. The focus here is on providing a clean, level spot with reliable utilities, making it an ideal "one-nighter" for those traveling through Idaho from places like California to Montana, or an easy basecamp for exploring the local Pocatello area.
While the park has a no-frills approach to outdoor facilities—many sites do not include items like picnic tables—the trade-off is often a more open and peaceful site. The friendly, helpful service from the on-site attendant further enhances the welcoming and pleasant stay for visitors to this charming Idaho RV destination.
Batise Springs RV Park is situated at 7416, 1138 Rowland Rd, Pocatello, ID 83204, USA. This address places it just a short distance—approximately two miles—off a major expressway, typically Interstate 86 (I-86), making for quick and easy off-and-on access for travelers.
The specific location on Rowland Road is northwest of Pocatello's central area, providing a more secluded feel. While finding the park requires driving through an area that may include an RV storage facility and potentially some industrial settings, the park itself is nestled in a quiet spot that directly borders natural features like the Portneuf River and Batise Springs. This unique positioning provides some sites with a tranquil, natural view of the creek, riparian zone, and surrounding farmland, offering an excellent opportunity for birdwatching.
The close proximity to I-86 means guests have quick access to Pocatello for dining, fuel, and supplies. The convenience for travelers, coupled with the relatively quiet atmosphere once inside the park, makes it a strategic stopping point in the Idaho High Country.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We are on vacation traveling from California to Montana. We decided to stay off the freeway and chose this quaint rv park. Alyssa, the attendant was very nice on the phone and greeted us when we arrived. Our spot overlooked the creek. The geese flew over 3 or 4 times. It was nice and quiet.Something weird happened around 8pm. A loud noise happened and then 10 minutes later it smelled like sewer. It didn’t matter though. We just shut our trailer doors and watched tv.For us, this rv park is still better than a KOA.My only pet peeve is the grass. It was too long and hard to walk on. But, if we are ever in the area again, I would definitely stay here. Thank you for a nice stay.
September 10 · Cindy RinaldiSmall RV park with 12 spots about 2 miles off the expressway. All spots are pulled through black top. My reason for giving it a four was that SOME OF the spots are not very level. Because it sets up on a hill you do pick up some road noise. Our since there are no picnic tables or other out door facilities it’s not that big a bother anyway. Perfectly quiet inside the camper. A wonderful spot for an overnight stay wish I could find one like this every time we stopped.
June 11 · Scott ByeThis has been the cleanest park I've stayed at! The bathrooms were spotless, the park itself had no sight of trash lying around on the ground. The staff are incredibly sweet and welcoming. It's a well taken care spot that's super safe!
May 27 · Sokcali LotomauThis place has some good/bad things about it…The good: it’s small, not a lot of spots so not a lot of people. The girl working the office is super pleasant and nice. The service of the people was good. Another positive note about that below in “the bad”.The bad: as others mentioned, there is a strong odor from a plant nearby (I was not prepared for how bad that would actually be!) but there is also some kind of a water treatment plant in the another direction as well. So, between the two, we couldn’t stay more than a few days and decided to leave what was to be a 10 day stay. It smells like sewer smell constantly. They cut the grass but don’t bag/clean/blow it so it’s everywhere and impossible not to drag it in/out of your camper. The sprinklers come on at weird times and they do notify you not to leave anything out you don’t want to get wet, but basically the entire area gets wet, so just be aware of that & plan accordingly. The one time they came on unexpectedly during the day I texted and they came and shut them off pretty quickly.Neutral: bathrooms. I’ve been in worse and I’ve been in better. A little bleach would go a long way here… the shower curtain has mold on it and the corners of the shower need scrubbed good. I saw them cleaning things, so I know they’re cleaning but it needs a scrubbing and a new $5 shower curtain. There is 1 shower for both genders… and 1 toilet per gender… so you could definitely end up waiting on the shower. I tried to pick off-times to shower but I did notice others had to wait.
July 07 · Amber GravleyBatise Springs RV Park in Pocatello, Idaho, deserves five stars for its impeccable service! The staff, especially the camp host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and welcoming. The facilities, including clean bathrooms, showers, and laundry, were top-notch. The serene setting by the Portneuf River, paired with their attentive care, made our visit truly exceptional. Highly recommend this gem for a peaceful and well-cared-for RV experience.
