For Kentuckians considering housing options in Hopkinsville, Ashwood Village Mobile Home Park offers a set of characteristics that, on paper, might appeal to those seeking affordable living and convenient access to city amenities. However, it is paramount for local users to weigh the reported advantages against significant concerns raised by current and former residents when determining its suitability.
From a practical standpoint, the park's location at 4 Locust Street in Hopkinsville provides easy access to vital services and attractions. Its proximity to schools, grocery stores, shopping centers, dining, and the Pennyrile Parkway makes daily life convenient for residents. For military families, the stated partnership with the Fort Campbell Housing RPP Program and the roughly eighteen-minute commute to the base are clear benefits, offering a potentially streamlined housing solution in the region. The availability of two and three-bedroom homes at "affordable apartment rates" positions it as a budget-conscious choice for those looking for more space than a typical apartment might offer. Features like washer/dryer hookups, high-speed internet access, and a pet-friendly policy with no weight restrictions for dogs are attractive amenities for many Kentucky families and individuals. The presence of a playground and business center also suggests a community attempting to cater to diverse resident needs.
However, the suitability for locals is heavily impacted by the candid feedback from residents regarding significant issues. Concerns such as "mold for over a year and a half," unaddressed "sink holes," a lack of maintenance follow-through, and accusations of deceitful administrative practices ("block you from paying when you catch them in a lie") paint a picture of considerable challenges. For Kentuckians, who value reliable service, clear communication, and a safe, well-maintained living environment, these reported experiences are critical considerations. The sentiment of "Don't move here" and "Aint forth the headache" from multiple former residents indicates a disparity between advertised features and the actual lived experience.
Therefore, while Ashwood Village's location and stated amenities might initially appear suitable for locals seeking affordable housing in Hopkinsville, any prospective resident from Kentucky should exercise extreme caution. It is absolutely essential to perform extensive personal due diligence, including thorough unit inspections (even in the face of potential resistance), direct and persistent communication with management about all stated concerns, and, if possible, attempting to speak with current residents to gain direct, unfiltered insights into the living conditions and management responsiveness before making any commitment. For locals, a truly suitable home offers not just an address but peace of mind, reliable upkeep, and fair treatment—factors that, according to public reviews, appear to be significant points of concern at Ashwood Village Mobile Home Park.

Ashwood Village Reviews
Left us with mold for over a year and a half, maintenance never showed up when we had an issue, had to request tarps and a ladder for them to temporarily repair the leak in our roof after it raining everytime it rained for months. Neighbour had a sink hole in their yard that was spreading to ours, with no notice except from said neigbour. Don't move here.
Jun 24, 2025 · Marybeth and Nolan MeyerWorst place I’ve ever lived. The folks in the office will block you from paying when you catch them in a lie. Just for you to get behind. Don’t do nothing of the sort when they say they are doing any inspections or anything. Don’t waste your money! Aint forth the headache! Corporate is worthless as well. Don’t even come ! Can’t wait to get away from here! 😭🤝🏾
Oct 22, 2024 · Veri McGregorEdit: Under new ownership. Moved out June 4, 2019. Lease ended May 30, 2019. Under new ownership and here it is Nov 6 still have not gotten my security deposit back. Renter beware!I love it here. The property is well cared for. Maintenance requests are taken care of in a timely manner. It is pet friendly which was a HUGE plus for me. I have just moved into another unit and the manager was very nice about working with me to find something I could afford on my income in the community. Water, garbage, yard care all included in the rent. A very nice place to live. Come check out what's available if you are looking for a new place to rent!
Nov 06, 2019 · grniidmnstr channelNot worth the cost of rent. Many trailers have roaches. Doesn't fix repairs completely just dr them up to look nice. The Office manager is very nice and so is her maintenance man bf. But I had a issue arise which costed me my section 8 and resulted in me having to move due to repairs not being fixed. I also had many issues with my plumbing.

Thank you for all you have done to make it a better place to live for low income families. God bless you all for your efforts. Again thank you and have a blessed day in the name of Jesus.
