Understanding its offerings, as well as the experiences of previous guests, is key to choosing a spot that aligns with your travel or living needs. Let's delve into the specifics to give you a clearer picture of this Reidsville RV park.
Angry Old Man RV Park is situated at 4589 NC-65, Reidsville, NC 27320, USA. This location places the RV park in a more rural setting outside the immediate hustle and bustle of Reidsville's town center, offering a sense of peace and quiet that many RVers seek. NC-65 is a state highway that provides direct access to Reidsville and connections to other parts of Rockingham County.
While the park itself offers a quiet escape, its proximity to Reidsville (approximately 20 minutes away, according to one review's estimation for a nearby town) means that essential services and amenities are still within a reasonable driving distance. In Reidsville, residents and visitors can find grocery stores, various dining options, local shops, and healthcare facilities. Reidsville also offers recreational opportunities, such as Lake Reidsville Park, known for its outdoor activities.
For broader accessibility, Reidsville is centrally located within the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. This means that larger cities like Greensboro are within a manageable drive, providing access to more extensive shopping, entertainment, and employment opportunities, including hospitals, universities, and cultural attractions. Similarly, other towns in Rockingham County and even southern Virginia are accessible via nearby state highways. For those who appreciate stargazing, the park's location offers "beautiful stars," indicating a relatively dark sky environment away from significant light pollution.
This balance of a peaceful rural setting with convenient access to town services makes Angry Old Man RV Park a consideration for those seeking tranquility without being entirely isolated from necessary conveniences in North Carolina.

While the park is noted as not having many additional "amenities" beyond these basics, these core services ensure a functional and convenient experience for most RVers. - Wi-Fi Access: Broadband Fiber Internet is available at each site, ensuring connectivity.
Areas of Concern / Things to Note:
- Developing Site Conditions: As a newer park, the "gravel is not packed in on the side we were on & the ground slopes some," which can make leveling larger RVs, like a "44ft 5th wheel," challenging.
- Limited Amenities: One review notes "there aren’t any amenities" beyond the basic hookups, requiring a 20-minute drive to a town for additional services.
- Occasional Disturbances: Despite being generally quiet, there were isolated incidents mentioned, including "loud yelling & cussing one night & the cops were called," "kids that like to run around the park at night screaming," and "Someone fired a gun in the park one night." These suggest occasional safety or noise issues.
- Presence of Permanent Residents: The park "seems there are some permanent residents," which can influence the park's atmosphere, sometimes leading to the aforementioned disturbances.
Overall, while the park offers good value and a friendly, family-owned approach with essential hookups, potential guests should be aware of its newer status, limited amenities, and the reported occasional disturbances.

For North Carolinians exploring RV parks in the state, Angry Old Man RV Park in Reidsville presents a unique option that can be particularly suitable for certain local RVers, especially given its specific characteristics. Its suitability for locals hinges on balancing its fundamental offerings with a clear understanding of its current stage of development and environment.
Firstly, the park's "great rates" and its status as a "friendly family owned by good Christian folks" immediately appeal to many locals who prioritize value, personal touch, and community-oriented management. In North Carolina, supporting local, family-run businesses is often a strong preference, and the positive feedback regarding owner communication and friendliness reinforces this appeal. For budget-conscious RVers, or those seeking a more personal interaction with park management rather than a large corporate feel, this aspect is a significant draw.
Secondly, the park offers essential full hookups (electric, water, sewer) and Wi-Fi, providing the core necessities for a comfortable RV stay. While it's noted for not having extensive amenities beyond these, many seasoned RVers, particularly those who are self-sufficient or prefer a simpler camping experience, find these basics perfectly adequate. The "area way in the back to walk our dogs" is also a valuable highlight for North Carolina pet owners, who often travel with their furry companions and appreciate dedicated pet-friendly spaces. The "beautiful stars" visible at night are an added bonus for locals seeking a true escape into nature.
However, locals considering a stay here should be aware of the park's newer status, which means some site conditions (like unleveled gravel) might require extra effort for setup. Additionally, while generally quiet, the reported isolated incidents involving noise, disturbances, and security concerns (e.g., yelling, gunshots, police presence, kids running around at night) indicate that the environment might not consistently be peaceful. This suggests the park might be more suitable for flexible individuals or those who are less sensitive to occasional disruptions, rather than families with very young children or those seeking absolute, guaranteed tranquility. Ultimately, for North Carolinians who prioritize affordability, direct owner interaction, essential hookups, and a quieter, rural setting with the understanding that some aspects of a newer park are still evolving, Angry Old Man RV Park offers a viable option in the Reidsville area.

Angry Old Man RV Park Reviews
We know this is a new rv park and it worked out pretty good for the 2 weeks we were in town. The gravel is not packed in on the side we were on & the ground slopes some so we had a heck of a time leveling our 44ft 5th wheel. There aren’t any amenities so you have to go about 20 minutes to a town. It seems there are some permanent residents & there was loud yelling & cussing one night & the cops were called. There’s also kids that like to run around the park at night screaming. Someone fired a gun in the park one night. It stays relatively quiet for the most part & the stars are beautiful. The saving grace was the area way in the back to walk our dogs. The owner was very nice the day we checked in & communication is very good. Honestly not sure if we’d stay here again. We wish them the best of luck.
