I have lived here for 3 years the end of April and this community is great. The management cares and keeps the grounds in great shape. The location of the community is very convenient, close to I -94, 1/2 hour to Irish Hills, 15 minutes to Chelsea and close to Ann Arbor. Very safe community and enjoy the countryside atmosphere. Manager, Ryan, is positive and always ready to listen to the residents.Very peaceful place to live.
Apr 21, 2025 · Joan DawseyI lived in this community for over a year now. My girlfriend has lived here for 4 years. It's a nice community, but the new management is a nightmare. They harass you over pets, don't take care of the park like it should be. They dug our yard up with a snow plow over the winter, told they would fix it in the spring, and it's June now and still not fixed. The street light in our yard has been broken for years. They were mowing our neighbors yard last summer, and a rock hit our house and broke the siding, still not fixed. We get notices if our yard isn't weed wacked within 5-7 days, which I have no problem doing but why do they let the dog park grass get out of control and then leave notes to have you weed wack. The first summer I lived here ran way smother, and the management was much better. I wouldn't recommend moving here if you don't want to deal with a not so pleasant manager and grounds crew. Went from 5 stars to 2 in my book over this new management. Pictures shown of the house are of what we got a letter about weed wacking. It was done 4-5 days ago. Poor management! I got a response to this letter that my dog was aggressive, and that's why they gave me 24 hours to remove. Yes, that right 25 hours. He did get lost and try to play with another dog. I understand if the lady got scared. He's a big german shepherd. But he wouldn't hurt a fly. The lady tried saying he attacked her dog, this lady works for the corporation that owns this park and complained to her boss,' I have video of the incident but they told me it wouldn't make a difference. My dog is a service dog and is trained to help my needs. They took away my lifeline and split up our family just bc someone is on a power trip. The neighbors dog has come into my yard multiple times and attacked my pomeranian, but nothing happens to it. If interested in my story, CBS is doing a news story on it soon. Should air within the next couple of weeks. Oh, and the day after I originally posted this, they fixed the light pole. I don't care how they try to justify this. Absolutely, do not move here if you have dogs.

He moved his vehicle off to the side of his driveway (for 15 min total!) for me to back up and remove the boat from garage. The maintenance/office guy drives up in his golf cart and says he's gonna kick my father in law out of the neighborhood for having his truck not on the pavement. Took several pics with his iPad while I was hooking boat up. Nothing better to do than pick on an old man? Unbelievable place.

Might not be what people want to hear, but it gives us all a sense of pride of ownership. It is safe because they tell you right out there will be a background check. You don't get those two things when you move into any other city neighborhood. It is growing with more new homes and that is a good thing for the Grass Lake area. Affordable housing, safe neighborhood, nice looking community. My daughter has lived here for years and we just put in our "retirement" home last year.

When I saw the house and the neighborhood, I fell in love with it. There was only a few houses for sale here at the time and only one of which would meed out needs. LaFonda was the manager then and was very helpful in closing the deal on the house. She was a huge help in getting us introduced to the community of Grass Lake.Andover has it rules that we all live by. I have done my best to live by them weather I liked them or not. The rules have proved an asset in keeping the neighborhood, clean, well kept, houses looking good and yards maintained. When you compare this neighborhood to other manufactured home communities, there is not comparison. Hands down, Andover wins.We have been very happy living here for the past 8 years. We now have new ownership. The new owners have been very aggressive with selling new houses here. The new ones of of the same quality and appearance as the ones that have been here since day one. We have met the new owners and they impress me as being very serious about maintaining the quality and integrity of the neighborhood and the residents that live here.I would recommend Andover to anyone. This is an fine place to live. Keep up the great work and Thanks.
