World Equestrian Center RV Resort Introduce
For Florida RV owners, the World Equestrian Center RV Resort in Ocala presents a unique and captivating camping destination, especially for those with a passion for equestrian sports or a desire to experience a truly world-class event venue. Located at the heart of "Horse Capital of the World," this RV resort offers the convenience of full hookup sites alongside unparalleled access to the sprawling World Equestrian Center complex, making it much more than just a place to park your rig.
While some reviews highlight areas for improvement within the RV park itself, the sheer scale and quality of the adjacent World Equestrian Center facilities are often the main draw. It's a place where you can camp comfortably while being steps away from elite horse competitions, a vibrant vendor village, upscale dining, and a variety of entertainment options. For Floridians looking for an RV experience that blends outdoor living with a dynamic event atmosphere, the World Equestrian Center RV Resort provides a distinctive choice.
This resort caters to those who appreciate the convenience of being on-site for major events, whether they are participants, spectators, or simply curious visitors drawn to the energy of equestrian sports and other large-scale happenings hosted at WEC. It's an opportunity to immerse yourself in a unique facet of Florida's culture and recreational scene.
The World Equestrian Center RV Resort is strategically located at 8120 NW 21st St, Ocala, FL 34482, USA. This address places it directly adjacent to the expansive World Equestrian Center complex, a sprawling 2,000+ acre facility that stands as the largest equestrian complex in the United States. Its location in Ocala, famously known as the "Horse Capital of the World," means it's nestled amidst rolling hills, beautiful farms, and a deeply ingrained equestrian culture.
Accessibility to the RV Resort is generally straightforward, being just a few miles from I-75. This makes it a convenient stop for RV travelers coming from various parts of Florida or across the country. While the immediate surrounding area is primarily focused on the equestrian center, Ocala offers a wide array of services, including grocery stores, restaurants, and other retail options, all within a reasonable driving distance.
For RVers attending events at WEC, the proximity is a significant advantage, allowing for easy transitions between their campsite and the arenas, barns, and vendor areas. For those visiting simply to experience the grandeur of WEC, the RV resort provides a direct on-site lodging option that allows for full immersion in the destination.
The World Equestrian Center RV Resort offers a range of services and amenities designed to accommodate RV travelers, although it's important to set expectations based on direct feedback regarding the RV park's specific facilities versus the broader WEC complex's offerings. The RV park aims to provide essential conveniences for its guests:
- Full Hookup RV Sites: The resort features nearly 300 parking slips, each equipped with full hookups, including water, power (30/50 amp service), and sewer connections. This is a standard and essential service for RV camping.
- 24-Hour Laundromat: A convenient on-site laundromat is available, which also includes showers. This is a practical amenity for campers, especially during longer stays.
- General Store: An adjacent general store (often described as the WEC General Store at 8105 NW 21st St) provides a one-stop shop for daily essentials, food and beverages (including Starbucks coffee and a Boar's Head deli), RV supplies, and ice.
- Gas Station: An on-site gas station is available, making it convenient for refueling RVs and tow vehicles.
- Dog Park: A dedicated dog park is advertised, although some reviews suggest issues with cleanliness. It aims to provide an area for pets to exercise.
- High-Speed Wi-Fi: Complimentary Wi-Fi is available, allowing guests to stay connected.
- Showers: Shower facilities are available within the laundromat building. Note that some reviews mention issues with hot water availability during the day.
- Trash Disposal: While services are provided, guests are generally required to take their trash to a central dumpster location, which some reviewers note can be a long walk.
- On-site Dining Options: While not directly part of the RV park, RV guests have access to the numerous award-winning dining options within the World Equestrian Center complex, ranging from casual eateries to fine dining establishments.
The World Equestrian Center RV Resort's highlights and features are intrinsically linked to its position within the larger World Equestrian Center (WEC) complex. While the RV park itself has received mixed reviews regarding its immediate amenities and maintenance, the overall appeal stems from the access it provides to the magnificent WEC facilities:
- Unparalleled Access to World-Class Equestrian Events: This is the primary highlight. RV guests are literally steps away from the largest equestrian complex in the United States. This includes multiple state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor arenas, where a diverse range of horse shows and competitions are held year-round. This is a dream come true for equestrian enthusiasts and a fascinating spectacle for general visitors.
- Proximity to WEC Amenities: Beyond the equestrian arenas, RV guests can easily access the vast amenities of the World Equestrian Center. This includes:
- Luxury Shopping: A vendor village with numerous luxury retailers and unique shops.
- Diverse Dining: A wide array of restaurants and cafes, from quick bites to upscale dining, including options within The Equestrian Hotel.
- The Equestrian Hotel: A stunning, luxury hotel that serves as a centerpiece, offering additional dining and hospitality experiences.
- Calluna Spa: A full-service spa for relaxation and pampering.
- UF Veterinary Hospital at WEC: On-site veterinary services, particularly beneficial for those traveling with horses.
- Golf Cart Rentals: Available on-site for convenient navigation of the extensive WEC property.
- "Horse Capital of the World" Immersion: Being in Ocala means experiencing the heart of Florida's horse country. Even if not directly involved in equestrian events, the atmosphere, the beautiful horses, and the impressive infrastructure create a unique backdrop for an RV stay.
- Security: The overall WEC complex is generally well-secured, which can extend to the RV park area.
- Convenient for Event Participants: For those competing or working at WEC events, the RV resort offers the ultimate convenience of staying on-site, minimizing travel time and logistics.

May 17, 2025 · Craig KlatkaNice RV park, convenient to the barns and arenas. Lots are small but adequate and they are very easy to back in to.There is NO hot water in the shower houses during the day.Long walk to take your trash.
Jan 14, 2025 · Jill MobleyImpossible to level my coach, either air or jacks. It was pouring rain and even tried jack pads. Decided was not worth it and asked for a refund. The lady Kit in the office was extremely rude! She asked if I read my rental agreement???? No refunds!!!! Personality of a pit bull! The park was empty. I can see why now.
Jun 08, 2024 · paul gaetanoBrand new so very clean. Expensive and not many amenities (no fires allowed, no pool, etc) but next to WEC. Plenty of space for a ites but zero privacy.
Jan 06, 2024 · JaneneWould definitely stay again! We stayed for a week 12/2023 and really enjoyed the place. Couldn’t believe how empty it was for this time of the year. We stayed in the section farthest from the grocery store and they seemed to be more spacious in between sites. They had plenty of dog baggie/trash areas throughout the park but weren’t emptied the entire time we were there. They had LOTS of grass that our dog loved chasing his ball in while the park was empty. They had TWO dog parks for both small and large dogs that was fabulous. No picnic tables or room for hanging out outside your RV unless you’re in the grass. Verizon 5G wi-fi worked good. The streets and lots were both concrete. There wasn’t a whole lot going on while we were there until the last night when they had a horse show. The hotel is absolutely spectacular. We came during Christmas and the Christmas decor was amazing throughout the entire equestrian center & hotel. We visited the restaurant inside the hotel “Yellow Pony”, the prices were high but the food was great! We planned on going again but when we tried, it was during the horse show and the place was packed. Not much going on around the area, restaurants were limited. We did go to Fox and Hound close by and that was really good too. Mexican restaurant close was just ok.
