My favorite campground at the gorge. The gentleman that runs this place is awesome. Super nice and helpful. Clean campground as well and plenty of room for everything you do. There isn't a bathroom or shower house but there is plenty of places around him to use. I highly recommend staying here. - J s

Woodstock Campground Introduce

For Kentuckians with an adventurous spirit and a deep appreciation for the raw beauty of the Red River Gorge Geological Area, Woodstock Campground in Pine Ridge offers a unique and highly recommended camping experience. This isn't your typical amenity-laden resort; instead, Woodstock Campground embraces the essence of primitive camping, providing a clean, spacious, and incredibly well-located base for exploring one of Kentucky's most iconic natural wonders. It's a place where the focus shifts from luxury to the genuine thrill of connecting with the outdoors, all while benefiting from the unparalleled hospitality of its operator.

What truly sets Woodstock Campground apart, as highlighted by numerous local users, is the welcoming and helpful presence of the gentleman who runs the place. His dedication to ensuring a pleasant stay, coupled with the campground's strategic position, makes it a favored spot for those who frequent the Gorge. Whether you're bringing an RV (even a large Class C), pitching a tent, or simply looking for a friendly face to guide your Red River Gorge adventures, Woodstock Campground caters to the core needs of outdoor enthusiasts. It’s a testament to the idea that sometimes, less truly is more, especially when it comes to an authentic Kentucky camping experience.

Woodstock Campground is conveniently located on KY-715, Pine Ridge, KY 41360, USA. This address places it directly adjacent to the southern entrance of the Red River Gorge National Geological Area, making its accessibility for exploring the region virtually unparalleled. For Kentucky locals, particularly those from Lexington, Cincinnati, or other surrounding areas, the drive is manageable, quickly transitioning from cityscapes to the rugged, forested beauty that defines the Gorge.

The strategic location is a significant advantage for campers. Within minutes of arriving at Woodstock Campground, you can be on your way to some of the Red River Gorge's most famous landmarks. Iconic hiking destinations like Chimney Top Rock and Sky Bridge are just a short drive away, allowing visitors to maximize their time on the trails. For climbers, the world-renowned Muir Valley climbing area is also incredibly close. Beyond the natural attractions, the immediate vicinity offers practical conveniences: a local bar/grill for burgers and beer, and "Brick," a spot known for its delicious ice cream and coffee, are literally a minute up the road. This blend of remote natural access and nearby essentials makes Woodstock Campground an exceptionally well-positioned hub for any adventure in the Red River Gorge area, ensuring both outdoor immersion and convenient amenities.
