★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wolf Flats Recreation Area is a free location to camp at that offers camping spots on the northern side of the Snake River east of Hiese. There is fishing opportunities, of course with the river being there there. Also, there are vault style bathrooms available for use. We went during the week and it was pretty quiet with plenty of camping spots to choose from. I definitely recommend Wolf Flats Recreation Area.
November 22 · Ben MI've been camping in this area for about 35 years. And I've seen this country developed from a 2 track road in along the river to what it is now. My opinion 1 is bad 10 is good : camping 7 beauty 6 cleanliness 5 availability7 dirt & dust 5 access fishing 7 camping 9 this is alot of motorcycles, quads , 4 wheelers, river boats and other activity
July 05 · Gerald GloreWe drove in at night, the trees looked like they were going to suck us into some horror movie scenes. Some tree trunks at the camping spots have been scratched and mauled by animals. It was overcast but eventually the gibbous moon came out and illuminated the entire place. Part of the stream was frozen. There were beer cans and bottles in the fire pits and hidden under the snow on the ground.
December 22 · LimitlessBlm area, great area with 2 Vault toilets. Sad it's 5 day limit. Watch out for opportunity theives when leaving camp unattended- personal experience when left for mere 2 hours.
May 12 · Norman FlowersSurprisingly very clean for a free area. Even almost 2 weeks of rain, the roads were still good and we had no issue getting our trailer here. It's nice and tucked off of the main road so you can hear and see all of the natural beauty
