Jun 03, 2025 · SUPRADEEP MAKAMThis is probably one of the best campgrounds in Brannon’s island. A lot of shade because of the trees makes the ground more enjoyable during the sunlight too.Restrooms are nearby. Picnic area by the beach is around quarter to half mile but beautiful and enjoyable.
May 28, 2025 · Dharmendra TomarThis was our first time camping and it was a pleasant experience. There were only about 10 other campsites in use, so although there were no immediate neighbors to our site, I didn't feel too isolated, as I could see the other campers around us. A lot of weeds and foxtails, so I constantly had to check my puppy's paws. The restrooms were adequate and although we didn't use the showers, they looked decent. There are a couple of things I wasn't too keen about which is why I gave it four stars: 1) There are a lot of bugs. Pincher bugs seemed to congregate in one of the restrooms, and 2) Hwy 160 is very close to this recreational area. The noise of the cars going by isn't too bad, but you can definitely hear it when you're trying to get to sleep. On the particular night we stayed, there was some commotion going on that involved a low flying helicopter and sirens. Needless to say, we were a bit concerned about our safety. It eventually subsided and were able to fall back asleep. Overall, it was a good first time camping experience. It was nice having a view of the water. We'll be back again.
May 13, 2024 · Gail AntolinThe campground was fine, loved the shaded trees and that everyone kept their pup on leashes. It was disturbing to my boyfriend and I that the camp host left their young dog locked in its cage for over 6 hours when the puppy clearly needed stimulation and to be let out to use the restroom. He was pacing the crate, crying out (a lot and although we didn’t blame him it was unavoidably very annoying), at one point the poor pup had diarrhea and ATE IT, then urinated all over himself. Camp hosts should model better behavior and care for living creatures.
Jun 09, 2025 · Nicole StigamireGreat fishing spot inside Brennan Island campgrounds. Today was a busy day. I was only there for fishing but looked like every camp site was occupied. Great weather for camping if you enjoy the heat!!
