White Rock Campground Introduce
Welcome to White Rock Campground, your premier destination for an authentic and refreshing outdoor experience in Southern Arizona. Nestled within the expansive beauty of the Coronado National Forest, just outside of Nogales, this campground offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether you're a seasoned camper with a full RV setup or a family looking for a simple weekend getaway under the stars, White Rock Campground provides a welcoming environment for all. It's a place where you can disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with nature, all while being a short drive from the conveniences of the local area.
The allure of White Rock Campground lies in its peaceful surroundings and its proximity to a variety of natural attractions. The region is known for its diverse landscapes, from desert flora to mountainous terrain, offering a unique blend of environments to explore. This campground is more than just a place to park your RV or pitch a tent; it’s a gateway to adventure. Local residents from Tucson, Phoenix, and the surrounding areas often choose this spot for its accessible location and its reputation as a clean, family-friendly site. It's a community hub for nature lovers, hikers, anglers, and anyone who appreciates the tranquility of the great outdoors.
White Rock Campground is conveniently situated at 2801 Forest Service Rd 39, Nogales, AZ 85621, USA. Its location is a significant advantage for campers coming from different parts of Arizona and even from neighboring states. The campground is easily accessible via well-maintained roads, making the journey smooth for all types of vehicles, including larger RVs. The proximity to Nogales means that you are never too far from essential supplies, gas stations, or local dining options, should you need to restock or grab a bite to eat. However, it is important for visitors to note that while the campground is accessible, some nearby lake sites are designated for day use only, and the main camping area is located a short distance down the road. This separation helps maintain a quiet and relaxing atmosphere for overnight campers while still allowing for easy access to recreational areas.
While a previous visitor noted a lack of water, it's generally understood that campers should come prepared, as is standard practice for many forest campgrounds. The campground's location near the border also means that visitors may see a strong presence of Border Patrol, which is a common and normal sight in this region and contributes to the overall sense of security. The journey to the campground itself is part of the adventure, winding through scenic landscapes that showcase the natural beauty of Southern Arizona, setting the stage for a memorable camping trip from the moment you leave the paved road.

What is worth choosing White Rock Campground?
White Rock Campground stands out as a top choice for campers in the Arizona region for several compelling reasons. First and foremost, its unique location within the Coronado National Forest offers a beautiful "oasis" that contrasts with the typical desert landscape, providing a refreshing change of scenery. This makes it an ideal spot for activities like hiking, fishing, and simply enjoying the lush environment. The campground’s dual-purpose nature, accommodating both tent and RV campers, means it can suit a wide variety of preferences and budgets. The provided amenities, such as picnic tables and clean restrooms with running water, elevate the experience beyond basic dispersed camping, making it a comfortable option for families and those new to the outdoors.
Furthermore, the campground's commitment to accessibility is a significant factor. May 01 · Shane WayPretty little lake but the campground is not by it. It's down the road a ways. The sites near the lake are day use only.No water, bring your own. No hookups. Lots of border patrol since you are right by the border.
November 20 · Alisa SNice, no services except toilet. Lake within walking distance.
April 22 · Evelyn KelleyIt is Beautiful... what the website or anybody doesn't tell you is how close to the border you are. Border patrol driving by campsite every 30 -40 mins and they watch you. And EVERYTHING YOU DO the entire stay. Camp host is like a typical host. Felon, late 50's. People staying at his camper so when he tells you his sob story and you take him to town for supplies, his peeps are going through your tent or anything you have at campsite. Land of the free? I had to pay government to tell me where I could and couldn't camp. The next day checkout is at noon. Camping or poor mans hotel?
June 20 · Lance GoodthrustBeautiful area. Plenty of room for a 27' trailer in site 10, site 9 is large so the combo of 9 & 10 is where to meet friends. No water around so you have to bring your own
