Whispering River RV Resort Reviews
We have been here 2-3 times, it’s one of my favorite campgrounds. It is close to the Great Smokey Mountains, Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg all within 40 minutes. Very peaceful & quiet. Sites are spaced well. There is a river behind the CG that you can tube in or let your pet swim. There is also a nice walk along the river. The pool is nice too. There is a fitness room that needs help but I made it work for me.
Jun 06, 2025 · Joan ThompsonWe camped one night as a stopover between Ohio and NC. We arrived after the office closed. The directions were clear and we had no difficulty getting into our site, E-12.We will most definitely stay there again, hoping to be there several nights. The pool felt very nice after a long day of travel and the bath house was the best we've ever seen! A+
Jun 15, 2025 · Cindy CrawfordWe absolutely loved this RV park! The park is beautiful with a nice little trail along the river, perfect for mornings walks with the dog. There is also a good size dog area for them to run around. A fitness area has some dumbbells and cardio machines (treadmill, bike, row, ski, elliptical). Coin laundry was clean and worked great. Shower and toilet are individual (love that) and very clean, if, somewhat a little old. There is a little playground and a big grassy field to hand out in. Sites were full hookups with fire pits and picnic tables. There is a pool, closed for the season during our stay, but it looked nice. Location is great, close to towns and Smokies but so peaceful and quiet! We will return!
Apr 04, 2025 · Siri BookaniFirst of all I just have to say that I never leave reviews. This place was so amazing I just had to let everyone know. The location was amazing surrounded by mountains in the most beautiful river I think I've ever seen in my life. The RVs were spaced out nicely and not overcrowded. I had met the nicest people ever in my life not just staying there but also working there. Julie and Joy who work in the office are so helpful and so kind. The maintenance men were also extremely helpful. This was our first trip in our new RV and we were somewhat lost. They went out of their way to help us navigate any issues that we had. We loved it so much we stayed there for two more months. They were more than happy to accommodate us. I'm hoping that at the end of our stay we can stay longer. I also met the owner's son McClain. He helped me take a mattress out of my RV and dispose of it. This is not their job to do this but they go out of their way to be helpful and I'm so grateful. I would recommend this place and would return there any chance that I could get.The grounds are kept extremely clean as well as the bathrooms and the laundry.
Mar 09, 2025 · Dawn NelsonThe staff is absolutely amazing!!!!! The bathhouse and laundry area were very very clean!!! The bathhouse has very spacious temperature controlled individual bathrooms/showers. The campsites are a short walk through a field or a maintained gravel path to the river that was great for fishing. There is a small dog park, pool, and weight room area. It's about a ten minute drive to Townsend and entrance to Cades Cove. They sell and bring to you propane and firewood ifneeded. They didn't have bagged ice for sale, but there was a convenience store less than 2 miles away that sold it. I honestly can't say enough good things about this campground!! Gems like this I almost dont want to post about to keep to myself.
