Specific, broadly advertised promotions or ongoing special offers for Western Maine Yurts are not prominently displayed in general public information, as is common for unique and highly-rated lodging experiences. Their primary appeal lies in the quality of the "glamping" experience and the unique accommodation they provide. Pricing is generally structured based on the specific yurt (e.g., The Ellis, The Wild, The Androscoggin, The Sunday River, The Pleasant, The Rangeley, etc.) and the time of year (e.g., peak ski season vs. off-season).
However, based on the nature of their business and partnerships, potential indirect "offers" or value-adds include:
- Guide & Stay Packages: Western Maine Yurts partners with Registered Maine Guides like Alex Poland (who is also an owner) and John Scangas. They offer services such as "Full day float trip," "Half day float trip," "Half day wade trip," "Fly casting lessons," and "Fly tying class." While these are paid services, booking them often enhances the overall experience and provides expert-led outdoor adventures directly linked to the yurt stay.
- Partnerships with Local Adventure Tours: They refer guests to "Bethel Adventure Tours," which offers "Ski Touring, Winter Hiking, Snowshoeing, and Fat Biking adventures" in winter, and "hiking, mountain biking, and paddling tours" in summer. There's even a mention that "Bethel Adventure Tours is able to offer you a 10% off discount code on your Western Maine Yurts stay if you book their services and stay with us." This is a significant potential saving for those planning to engage in guided activities.
- Four-Season Accessibility: While not a discount, the fact that the yurts are designed for comfortable four-season use means guests have a consistent, high-quality option year-round, maximizing the value of their stay regardless of the season.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information on rates, availability for specific yurts, and any current or seasonal promotions, prospective guests are strongly encouraged to visit the official Western Maine Yurts website or contact them directly. Western Maine Yurts Reviews
The yurts are very high quality and well built and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design of the mini yurt campus! The bath house is very clean and well maintained and you'll notice it the first moment you step foot in there. The solo stove fire pit is also a great addition and the yurt was stocked with firewood and kindling to start a fire. The yurt experience here is honestly better than staying in any hotel no matter the season. We stayed here while it was 15ºF and snowing and it was so cozy the whole time! The heater inside the yurt is more than capable of maintaining a stable and warm temperature. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in and around Bethel, ME.
Feb 18, 2025 · Jason FornekThis is a hidden gem in the woods of Maine. All of the facilities are clean and well thought out. Close to skiing and many other activities. There are groomed trails throughout the site itself. Sunday coffee with the owner was a special treat before we packed up to head home. We loved our stay and will definitely be back again soon.
Jan 14, 2025 · Don FlemingBest weekend trip ever. The yurt was super clean, the bathouse was spotless, the bathroom was perfect. The host was extremely communicative and we had a splendid time. This is a dog’s dream and very good place for a family to come too! They responded super quickly and to any and all questions. The bed was insanely comfortable and we were so pleasantly surprised at every step of the way. Thank you guys so much! We will 1,00000% be back. Would be a very fun place for a wedding party or reception!
Sep 16, 2024 · Tyler Gallant (tytyx25)We loved our stay at the Kennebec at Western Maine Yurts! We booked last minute and were thrilled with the spacious, clean, and affordable yurt. It was the best glamping experience we've had. The beautiful yurt featured a comfy queen-sized bunk bed, couches, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a cozy gas fireplace. The bathhouse was just a quick walk away and impeccably clean. We appreciated that it’s dog-friendly!Just remember to bring your own pillows, sheets, towels, and a flashlight for the quick walk to the bathhouse, and a cooler since there’s no fridge. The owners were attentive, even keeping us updated during a brief power outage that only affected the bathhouse and not the solar-powered yurt.We enjoyed nearby hikes, including Grafton Notch and Maggie's Nature Park. We can't wait to return in winter to explore Bethel’s shops and restaurants. Thanks, Western Maine Yurts, for a fantastic weekend!
Oct 16, 2024 · Patricia MThis is our third trip to Western Maine Yurts, and certainly won’t be our last. We came for a 6 day stay with our five year old daughter and our dog. Though it was a very hot and humid week, the weather was made bearable by going to some of the local swimming areas. There is a small pond nearby at Angevine Park that is perfect for children, and Frenchman’s Hole and Step Falls are great options for river swimming. Hiking areas are everywhere nearby, and they have some well-kept trails on the camp property as well. The yurt was clean, comfortable, and easy to cool down with a fan in the evenings. The Bathhouse was spotless, as always, and it is so amazing to have toilets, showers, and running water nearby, especially in mid-July weather! We hope to visit again this autumn, so we can enjoy the fall foliage and crisp evenings by the fire! The owners stay in touch to make sure we have everything we need, and make the booking and trip as smooth as possible. We can’t wait to visit again. Thank you to Western Maine Yurts for the incredible hospitality!
