Watts Bar Lake Jellystone Park Reviews
We had an absolute blast staying in a chimney top cabin for a few days. The park is very nice and clean. The staff were all very friendly. We loved the activities and appreciated that the app would remind us 15 minutes before they started so we never missed one we wanted to attend. The foam party was a favorite of the kids and us parents enjoyed watching too. We came to the open house when they first opened and were told they are going to build a large boardwalk with a dock. I hope this is still happening, it would be a great addition.Pros-- Beautiful clean park- Lots of activities- Two pools and a water park- Cafe with good food and homemade ice cream- Very friendly staff- Attentive lifeguards- Bounce pillow is really cool- Lots of bathrooms- Gem mining for a feeCons-- It’s expensive to stay in a cabin- The beds are not made, the bedding is on each bed for you to make.- Firewood purchased at the store was wet and you can’t bring your own wood.- Very very small fishing area. All in all we really liked it and look forward to coming again.
Jul 01, 2025 · Nicole StayPACKED full of activities! We ventured out from Knoxville and will absolutely be back! Crafts, water guns, gem mining, splash pad with slides, and the pool gave us the best summer memories! The entire park was extremely clean, safe, and fun. Although it was too hot to fully engage in the playground, basketball, and pickleball courts (plus more), I give the daily pass extra perks for these being included for use.We loved the schedule of activities throughout the day and were huge fans of park as a whole!
Jun 27, 2025 · Abbie KlenkelThis park is incredible. We experienced a wonderful time with beautiful views, an awesome friendly staff, live band, nice cafe & gift shop along with golf cart rentals, pickle ball court, jump pad, splash pad, & 2 pools. We stayed in one of the cabins on-site & they were so accommodating, cozy & super clean. There were also lots of other activities for kids of all ages. We will make our way back here for sure.
Jun 29, 2025 · Shelly BryantIf you have kids and a big budget for camping then this is your spot . They seem to keep lots of activities for the littles and the staff are very nice . Facilities are very nice and clean .It’s new , it’s very barren and there are a lot of sites . It’s hilly in sections and walking is not going to work for everyone thus why they offer the golf cart rentals and they are everywhere .There is a water park for the kids as seen in other reviews and a large picnic area around it with a store and restaurant anchoring it .It’s not our cup of tea , when the trees grow back It will help but it’s a big space and when it’s hot it’s real hot . Very little shade anywhere . Kids need to be wearing helmets ….Biggest issue is how close you are to the next site and no real separation . All the sites seem to have your door side facing the next sites sewage line and are within 15’ of the picnic table spot allocated for the sites . The hold fee for a site needs to be removed . Me as a camper /customer have already done my homework to pick your campground , look at maps , investigate what’s nearby etc etc . When I pick a site on your map that’s the site I want ,I selected it because it’s available . I feel a 35.00 holding fee is absurd and a money grab .It’s a 3.5 star on my scale but many would give it a 5 ..
Jun 23, 2025 · Chris DavisAs someone who travels all over this place has so much stuff to do for kids, if they keep up the activities room as they do now they'll last decades. Only recommendations are build a fishing pier for the families to enjoy on the lake. And have check in time a little earlier. That would help locals enjoy a quick weekend and anyone trying to get in and get setup day one. So they have a few hours to enjoy the experience before bedtime after setup. Otherwise top notch and great staff throughout
