Jul 02, 2025 · Lauren DeckertBest place to revive yourself and get into nature! I’m so thankful to have stayed a few times at the sanctuary with friends and family sharing the beauty of the land, trails to hike, and all the wonderful amenities near by. Tyla and her staff take great care of you and the lodging, it’s why I keep going back! In comparison to local airbnbs and other camping stays, it’s an amazing price and location. If you’re looking to get away, to heal, recharge, connect with nature then this is the place to go!!
Jul 03, 2025 · Stephanie LambingThis property is a sanctuary in all ways possible! Located in the Gifford Pinchot just a short drive from the Scenic Columbia River Gorge, where waterfalls are ABUNDANT!! The property owner is knowledgeable & can provide you with a (long) list of easy to access waterfalls for day adventures off the property and all nearby. The property also has lovely walking trails through the woods, ideal for forest bathing without even leaving, and amazing amenities! The animals were such a lovely treat, the goats are especially welcoming on your way to the cafe on-property! The cafe has a little shop filled with things you might need while camping, local artisan goods, and even activity kits for the little ones. There are also games to borrow, a TV room, AND A SAUNA!!! The cafe also includes easy to warm meal options but let's not forget, this is just down the road from Backwoods Brewing as well as the best Taco Truck in the Gorge, La Gula! Between the Sanctuary environment on the property, the massive number of waterfalls, rivers & hikes in the surrounding areas, and the on-property amenities - this place is a 5 star for sure & 10/10 would recommend!
