Village Green Campground Introduce
For Ohioans seeking a peaceful escape to the great outdoors, especially along the scenic shores of Lake Erie and within the charming landscape of Ashtabula County, finding the right campground is paramount. While the region offers a variety of options, Village Green Campground in Kingsville stands out for its serene atmosphere and dedication to providing a clean, comfortable environment, particularly for its long-term guests. This campground offers a different kind of camping experience, one that emphasizes a quiet community feel and easy access to local attractions.
Village Green Campground, located at 7100 Leisure Ln, Kingsville, OH, is a well-established fixture in the local camping scene. It operates primarily as a seasonal campground, meaning a significant portion of its sites are occupied by campers who set up their rigs for the entire season, creating a welcoming and stable community. This seasonal focus often leads to a more settled, neighborly vibe, where campers know each other and contribute to the peaceful atmosphere. For those Ohioans who love the idea of having a consistent "home away from home" without the commitment of property ownership, a seasonal spot at Village Green could be an ideal solution.
While the campground caters extensively to its seasonal RV clientele, it does offer options for shorter-term stays, including trailer sites with electric and water hookups, and even primitive tent sites. This flexibility allows both transient visitors and locals looking for a quick getaway to experience the park. One aspect consistently highlighted by visitors is the immaculate condition of the facilities, particularly the bathrooms. This commitment to cleanliness is a strong indicator of the care and pride taken in maintaining the campground, ensuring a pleasant experience for all guests.
The name "Leisure Lane" for its address perfectly encapsulates the essence of Village Green Campground. It's a place designed for relaxation and unhurried enjoyment. While it may not boast an extensive list of high-energy amenities that some larger, resort-style campgrounds do, its appeal lies in its simplicity, its well-kept grounds, and its prime location. For many Ohio campers, the true joy of camping comes from quiet evenings, clean surroundings, and the opportunity to explore the natural and cultural attractions of the surrounding area, all of which Village Green facilitates beautifully.
It is important for prospective campers, especially those new to the campground, to understand its operational nuances. Reviews suggest that while the campground itself is highly regarded for its cleanliness and location, communication regarding reservations might require persistence. This indicates a more laid-back, community-focused operation that might not have a dedicated 24/7 reservation system like larger commercial parks. However, for those who appreciate a less commercialized, more genuine camping experience, this can be part of its unique charm. The focus here is on providing a comfortable base for enjoying the quiet beauty of Ashtabula County.

Village Green Campground Reviews
I stopped in there last year, and it looks like a nice place and a great location. I've tried calling, but there's no answer. I was going to leave a message, but their voice mail was full. I tried emailing, and there was no response. So I have no idea how to make a reservation.
May 13, 2025 · Joe JonesThere are no amenities in they really do not care about tent camp. Look like a bunch of seasonals. Bathrooms were immaculate though
Jun 02, 2025 · Chris AtkinsonAs an elderly person. I found the Village Green Campground very clean and very quiet. Once in awhile you can hear the train in the distance which I find nice and soothing to listen to. Which can break up the monotony that long extended quietness can create for a person.¶The dump station, laundry room, bathroom, and shower facilities were immaculate. The grounds were well maintained and clean.¶Each camp lot were just right for my 33 foot motor home. Good water pressure and power access units. Electric rate was reasonable in my opinion. And so were the rental rates. I stayed for a month and decided to extend my stay another month. And I intend to be back next year.¶Staff and management could not have been friendlier. They brought me my mail and answered all my questions with a smile.¶There are also plenty of nice stores, and restaurants in close proximity of the campground.¶Thanks to Rick and Becky for an enjoyable stay.

Aug 12, 2024 · Tim MooreMy family has been camping here for over 40 years. Great, clean campground. We are like a family here. There isn't a ton to do for kids, but isn't that the point of camping? Rest, relax, and enjoy family time. Take a walk, play board games, use your imagination.
