Veronen's Resort Reviews
After three generations of our family camping here for 20+ years we were told not to come back when I complained to the owners about other campers partying loud until 4am. Judith said if I wasn’t going to join the party maybe Veronen’s isn’t the right campground for me and my kids.
Jun 26, 2025 · Erin LeighFavorite place to be. I have so many good memories here. My family loves the Veronens!
May 31, 2025 · Molly SchmidtI had a wonderful weekend at the resort. Bathrooms were clean. Camp spots were tidy. They provide fire wood, you just need to be able to chop it up. Beautiful lake, includes loons! It's all campers and cabins, that I'm aware of. Many spots are reserved for the entire season, so it can be tricky to stay there.. And some of them are a bit snobby... I guess they think they're cool because they're there???? All in all a lovely time.
Jun 13, 2023 · M WBest resort in Minnesota. Been going here for 18 years about. Absolutely love it!! The owners are amazing people. Jul 20, 2020 · Derek HofmannVeronen's resort is a truly great place to spend a summer vacation, if you can get into a cabin, but they're usually booked up over a year in advance; if you enjoy camping, you can probably get in a lot sooner. The resort is owned by a family, but they treat all of the guests as if you're in their family, too. Such friendly people. Most of the campsites are seasonal, and the people who go up there every year have formed a summer-vacation-community, and their cabins are some of the most reasonably priced I've seen anywhere! The cabins are rustic, and there's almost no cell-reception, the way it should be! A truly off-the-grid summer experience! They do potluck every Monday night, and people from all over the lake come to socialize. They also host a sauna almost every other night, and it's a wood stove sauna, so it gets really hot, way better than an electric sauna in a health-club. Afterward you run into the clear, cool lake. The lake is absolutely amazing! Clear water, sandy bottom, you can see all of the rocks, pebbles, and fish beneath you! Always nice and cool! Very close to Itasca state park.If you ever come there, you will feel truly welcomed, and you'll want to come back every year, as most of their patrons do! You'll get to know everybody, and they'll get to know you.Great place for a romantic getaway, or to bring your whole family!
