★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Close to Dinosaur National Monument. Well-maintained park. The pool was closed due to "misbehaving dinosaurs" or something like that per the sign lol, but otherwise everything was in good repair. There's a fun jump pad my children enjoyed. Our cabin (the first one when you get to the cabins) was perfect for us- clean, pretty, two bunk beds and an adult bed, a desk, and nothing not as it should've been. When I called the "emergency number" around 11 due to the trio of 3 adults across the path from us having done to sleep and not put their fire out (ridiculous when fires rage within not even 60 miles) and I wasn't sure if I should/could go douse it myself, the lady who answered didn't mind at all and said they'd send someone right over to put it out.The employees we encountered were all friendly. The grounds were well-maintained. Good playground. Cute mini golf course you can pay to play. Showers, bathrooms, and laundry room all in good working order. No complaints!
July 11 · Hahna Robinowich HaydenWe just happened upon this RV site and loved it so much that we extended our stay. The front office staff are friendly and our extra large site is spectacular. We rode around Vernal today and loved every moment. The area is sooo beautiful and the people are wonderful. Our big event for the day was watching the TRex hot air on launch in the KOA park and directly in front of our RV.
May 27 · Darlene ForetGreat location as you’re literally minutes from Dinosaur Monument. However our tent site (T18) was not marked so we took a guess, the electric hookup was great and the bathrooms were clean though they were ridiculously warm. The WiFi was questionable at best but worked okay. (We were close to the office so I don’t know about other sites)
July 17 · Kenz ShelleyWe had a fantastic stay at the Vernal KOA. The campground was clean, quiet, and clearly well cared for—just what we were hoping for. It looks like they’re actively working to update and repaint everything, which is great to see. What really made our visit stand out was the new manager, Jordine. She was incredibly welcoming and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s clear she cares deeply about the campground and the guests, and that made a big difference in our experience. We stayed in one of the lodges, which was clean and well maintained. The only suggestion we have is to replace the porch swing—it’s showing its age. But overall, everything else was in great shape, and it’s clear improvements are in progress.Whether you're in an RV, a tent, or a cabin, you're in good hands here. Jordine brings fresh energy to the KOA, and it really shows. We’d definitely stay again. Thanks, Jordine!
July 05 · Salt Lake City KOAWe stayed at this KOA. Checking was wonderful. Receptionist was very pleasant and friendly. Our impression was it was run down. Seems like a family pass down business that is just not getting the love and care anymore. Tree branches need cutting along exit roads to prevent RV’s from getting whacked by tree limbs. . Lack of gravel on roads around campsites. Lack of gravel on pads under RV. It’s currently camping on dirt. Fences, putt putt area need some stain/paint. Compared to other KOA’s, this needs some love, care, and upgrades. Otherwise, a nice friendly place.
