Ventura Ranch KOA Holiday Reviews
Love this place. Nice weather even at the end of June. Peacocks are cool but loud, bring some earplugs if you plan to sleep past 5am. Showers were nice. The rock wall was down. Zip line is for 8 years old and 80lbs. Creek was super fun, got to see fish and tadpoles! Great campground for bikes.
Jul 03, 2025 · Julie DHaven’t been here in close to 10 years. Quite a bit different than what I remember. There are a lot of full time RVers here now and not as many recreational campers. The zip line is way better than it was years ago, I’m glad to see they rebuilt after the fire. The pool & other activities seem to be the same. Close to home not crazy expensive so it’s great for a quick escape from the busy life closer to the city.
Jun 10, 2025 · Curtis EvansDO NOT STAY HEREWe arrived at 4:30 office was closed. We waited 45 minutes to finally get our tent. Only 1 staff. Got a glamping tent for $200 a night. The bathroom next to tents smelled like it had a sewage leak. The inside of bathroom for 3 days had a dead cockroach in sink and clogged urinal filled with smelly pee. Sign on bathroom wall says they clean bathroom throughout day???My daughter and I were excited about pool however it was extremely dirty and cold. Literally dirt at bottom and top of pool.Mattress was extremely soft. My wife and I had difficult sleeping and got sore backs. Andthe kicker is that peacocks are loud at 5 am.Everything in store is overpriced plus no complementary/donation coffee like at MOST KOA’s.For $200 a night?????
Jun 25, 2025 · Paul EllisGreat place to take kids. Zip lines, pool, climbing rock, maze. Lots of local hiking. Downside is the peacock noise, and poop. The birds are pretty, but they are very loud and start early in the morning. However, that is a minor nuisance compared with the beauty and optional things to do at this KOA.It is a bit off the beaten path, and the drive in seems like you will end up on a dead end road, but it is dark and quiet at night.
May 04, 2025 · Scott Behanlove this koa campground!! tons of activities to keep everyone happy; plus the zipline course is awesome! the peacocks are very pretty but get a little noisy every once and awhile. totally recommend camping or glamping here
