It's crucial for prospective campers, especially those familiar with Colorado's mountain roads, to understand that accessibility can be an adventure in itself. As one past visitor aptly warns, even with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, it's wise to scout the road on foot if unsure, as conditions can lead to getting stuck or sliding off. This highlights the truly remote and rugged nature of the campground, appealing to those prepared for a more primitive experience and who understand the nuances of mountain driving. This remote yet accessible location makes it a prime spot for Colorado residents seeking genuine solitude and unparalleled natural beauty without venturing too far off the grid.

- Basic Water Access (Grand Ditch): A water source from the Grand Ditch is available, though it's described as "hard to climb down and get to, and it's at least a tenth of a mile to get there." This indicates a primitive water source, requiring campers to be prepared for fetching and possibly treating water.
- Campfire Rings: It is typical for primitive campgrounds in this region to offer designated campfire rings at each site, allowing for safe campfires (when fire restrictions permit).
- Tent Pads: Given the mention of campsite characteristics, it's reasonable to infer that sites are delineated, likely with designated tent pads.
- No Hookups: Based on the reviews and the nature of the campground, it's understood that there are no water, electric, or sewer hookups. Campers must be self-sufficient.

Very nice camping spot with gorgeous views. Campsite 1 is relatively flat. Campsite 2 not so much. There was also a lot of interesting wildlife around. The downside, water from the Grand Ditch is hard to climb down and get to, and it's at least a tenth of a mile to get there. Also, lots of mosquitoes and flies.
